Finished Crocheted my daughter her Halloween costume!
I didnt use a pattern for the top. I just kept putting it on her and made adjustments as I went.
For the boots. I used : https://poshpoochdesignsdogclothes.blogspot.com/2011/01/dog-bootie-pattern-for-those-little.html?m=1
I just crocheted little claws and attached them to the ends.

Finished Used the wrong stitch for an entire sweater
Iâm a dumb dumb, full of hubris. Let me spin you my yarn, if you will.
A year ago I said âI want to get back into crochet. I learned it (self taught) when I was a teenager, I donât need to look at any tutorialsâ. I got obsessed with CrochetByJessiâs patterns, and off I went!
A year later after working tirelessly on my beloved, messy sweater, I finally got to the finishing steps on the sleeves. âHalf double crochet?â I said. âI donât know that stitchâ. I looked up a tutorial, and did the sleeve.
And then I sat there. And realized. That if that was half double crochet, and Iâd been doing double crochet for the mosaic stitches, then WTF is single crochet???
And then it hit me. I did SLIP STITCH for EVERY SINGLE TIME THE PATTEN CALLED FOR SINGLE CROCHET.
Lessons have been learned, 10,000 ends have been woven, and a laughs have been shared. Enjoy my mistake, which is a very dense, yet still comfy wearable.

Ătoile 3D
Bonjour,

WIP My Lower Decks uniform cardigan project: The part that's currently defeating me: The custom loom for the woven pocket
While this is very specifically for a mostly-crochet project, this part is not crochet, so I'm not sure whether this post is going to get removed by the mods. If it does, fair play to them, I was pushing things just a bit further than normal.
Having said that, I am weaving the pocket to hold the magnetic back-plate for the Combadge I'll be using with this cardigan. The goal is always a pocket to hold the back-plate if the front part gets pulled off for any reason, so all I need to do is put the front piece back on. But since it's a magnetic connection, the layer between the middle and the front needs to be as thin as possible.
I'd used a knitted pocket for my last cardigan, and I really didn't like how stretchy that turned out to be. Yes, I should have expected that, but somehow I hadn't. The idea this time is to ensure it stays in the same shape, hence weaving.
Plus, I'm doing this now, because this is going to be needed pretty much right after the white round under the black shoulder-tops. Having this done before I get to that point would be extremely useful. Otherwise, I'm going to have to pause the whole project anyway...
Also, this yarn is Lion Brand "Pound of Love" in "Cascade", the closest I was able to get to a decently strong shade of blue, though I'm not entirely convinced it's all that good a match. But it's the closest they have, so it'll have to do.
The 3x5 card is supposed to help make sure the whole pocket has a consistent shape, both keeping the bottom from rising due to tensions, and the sides from pulling inwards as well. I hadn't expected that tying the card to the frame like this would hold as well as it is, so that part was pleasantly surprising!
However, if I have to undo this yet again, I may need to toss this yarn and get some more. It's already really fuzzy from having been rubbing past itself and the string so many times...

Finished Boho forest fairy jacket
Thought I'd try my hand at a big project, that needed assembly. I don't read patterns, this is done all freehand. Still have to add buttons, and I was thinking about a hood. Also, applying moon and stars to black back panel, once I learn how to make them. Just wanted to show off my work. Excuse the mess, I finished and put it on for fit.

Finished second successful balaclava
I had a friend wanting me to recreate crocheted 90s beanie his mom owned and discovered one of the easiest and cutest patterns of all time. itâs a top down with front post stitches running down all sides of the hat. it was so easy i can do it from memory and itâs a 1 day project. iâve had to hold myself back from making more, but this is my most recent and by far favorite :)

Yarn adjacent? I designed and 3D printed a yarn cake holder (spinner thingy).
Itâs so silly but I love it.
