Traveling with injectable meds
Hello everyone. I am flying to the Dominican on Saturday and have an injection I have to take for when I get a migraine so I need to take syringes/needles with me but in my state a prescription isn’t required for needles. I was wondering if just having the prescription for the injectable meds with the syringes together would be okay?

Travel Agent for wedding
Hello, my finance & I are getting married in Puerto Vallarta April 2027. I’m looking for recommendations for a travel agent that can help our friends and families with flights to & from Mexico. My family is doing all the wedding planning so we don’t need help looking for wedding related stuff. We just need help with flights & hotels for everyone.
Thank you 😊

Expat before, now traveling as a tourist
Has anyone here worked in Malaysia, Singapore, or Vietnam before and traveled back there to visit friends? Did you have any problems with your travel, especially with the IOs? Was it a red flag given that you used to work in that country?

Package holiday emergency
So I booked an easyJet package holiday with my friend. I am the lead passenger.
We due to fly out Saturday morning (this Saturday)
My dog has suddenly become very ill and it’s looking like he might not make it.
This has happened pretty much overnight.
Everything very up in the air, he might pull through, he might not.
I now don’t want to go as I don’t feel I will enjoy myself.
It might sound silly and drastic to some but hopefully dog people may understand - but he’s a member of the family, he is my soul dog and we are so close. Whether he passes before I leave or some days later I know I wouldn’t relax knowing I might not be able to say goodbye or want to grieve at home with my family.
I will lose 100% of my money if I cancel the holiday or change the date, including my friends half of the money.
They won’t let me change it so a different person could go instead of me.
I was thinking what if my friend took someone else and they paid for their flights but then may be able to still share the hotel room if my friend checks in first?
Anyone have any experience of this? Advice?
I don’t think my friend would want to do the holiday alone and I hate to mess her around.

getting bookings for a small tour business is harder than i expected
I started running local tours because i genuinely enjoy showing people around, but finding customers consistently is a whole different story.
Most of my bookings come from word of mouth, and that's great, but it can be pretty unpredictable i've been looking at platforms like viator, getyourguide and airbnb experiences to reach travelers who are planning their trips before they arrive.
For those who run tours, which channels have actually brought you customers? i'd rather hear from people who've tried it themselves than just follow random marketing advice.

Would you choose a direct flight alone or a longer flight with a friend?
Update
Thank you all so much for all the helpful replies! 🥰 The main challenge was that she’s Danish and I’m Dutch, so we’re starting from different countries. Luckily, she managed to find a connecting flight to Amsterdam, so she can join me on the Korean Air flight! So I get the best of both worlds: a direct flight and flying together. Couldn’t be happier! 🇰🇷✈️
—————-
I’m going to South Korea for 3 weeks in April and can’t decide between two flights.
Option 1: Fly directly from Amsterdam to Seoul with Korean Air, alone. It’s more convenient, but I’d have one day less in Korea.
Option 2: Fly with Finnair via Helsinki, together with a friend who’s travelling from Denmark. We’d fly and arrive together, but the journey would take about 5 hours longer each way.
The price is pretty much the same.
Would you choose the direct flight or travel together with a friend? And do you have a preference for Korean Air or Finnair in terms of economy comfort, service and overall experience?
I’d love to hear what you’d personally choose!

Airasia 20kg add on checked baggage
Hi sharks,
I am flying airasia from DEL - KUL via DMK, I have purchased 20kg add on.
Can i check in two bags instead of one whole 20kg limit or can i split into 2 with combined weight of not more than 20kg
I am hoping to hear from someone who has travelled recently in airasia / thaiairasia, as i have been told airasia is notoriously about the baggage policy

Just because you book two flights at the same time, doesn’t mean that those two journeys are guaranteed to be connected to each other.
One thing I’ve been noticing about self-transfer flights is that booking differs from situation to situation. A good example is “AirHelp+” which offers to provide you with a maximum compensation of €200 in case you miss your connecting flight. Still, it only works if the flights are under one booking, unlike the self-booked flights you might have done.
For instance, you might be comparing your journey between Dublin, Amsterdam, and Prague with an airline that provides these flights together in a single booking and another one where each flight has been booked separately and cost you €70 less. The routes look almost the same, but the protection is different. I can understand why this works this way, but still, it makes me wonder whether passengers notice this detail while purchasing tickets.

Concur Travel Alternative
Looking for an alternative platform for travel booking, we do not use the expense side of Concur. It seems more frequently we are receiving errors, preventing us from booking or modifying through the website- requiring us to call Amex for an agents assistance with additional fees. AYS is useless for any support.

Small Tanzania operator here - what stops you from booking direct with a local company?
I run a tiny operation out of Arusha (3 cars, we use small tented camps, not big lodges). Been doing this for a few years.
A question that's been on my mind: I see travelers paying $5k pp through US/EU agencies for the exact same trip we do for $1.7k direct - because agency just outsources to us locals anyway.
For those who booked via a US/EU agency - genuinely curious, what made you go that route? Was it:
- trust / fear of getting scammed?
- payment protection / insurance?
- you just didn't know direct booking was an option?
- something else?
Not here to promote, I won't drop any name or link. Just want to understand what we small local operators should do better to earn direct trust.
Thanks for honest answers.
