Question Tips for gym leggings for GF

I'm looking to buy full set and few leggings to boost my GF gym motivation. I'm very confused about all the bad posts about thrivin or dfyne about the quality, as these seems the most popular brands.

Please recommend what brand and model should i buy, she likes high waist. I have been looking dfyne impact, price is higher than thrivin, but most people seem to love them.

Thanks!

Question Shiny Black Leggings

Hi all, I’ve been searching everywhere for replacements for my old Sweaty Betty High Shine leggings. I seem to be one of the last people on earth who like shiny tights.

I’m hoping for some suggestions for tastefully shiny tights that are made from nylon/polyamide and have firm compression for the gym.

I recently tried the Lululemon Satin Shine leggings which were so over the top shiny that I refuse to wear them outside the house.

Hi...UK Instructor here, suffering from reoccurring UTIs, hit peri so reckon it's one of the lovely symptoms. I love a sweaty Betty legging and now think I may need to wear underwear now too

What are you recommending that doesn't hunch up or be visible. Thanks

Question Looking for the unicorn of shorts…

For a few years I’ve been fruitlessly hunting for a style of shorts that I fear might not exist: a compressive waistband that isn’t super high, 4.5-6” inseam, and no butt scrunch or invisible butt scrunch. Gymshark Adapt Fleck pretty much hits the nail on the head but they are never in stock. Please help me!

Question Recommendations for seamless thongs for active wear

As the title says, I am looking for recs for seamless thongs that don't cause cameltoe with leggings. I usually just buy any kind of seamless thongs from Tezenis, etc. and use panty liners but I recently read that liners have harmful substances so I want to stop using them. Any recommendations are welcome! Thank you!

Question Wool leggings

I know it‘s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I prefer natural fibers. I wear cotton t-shirts and wool sportbras, that’s been no problem at all.

The problem has been leggings. I live in northern Europe and I find almost nothing. I want good leggings with deep pockets that pass the squat test. I have loved my Röhnisch tights, especially the winter ones. But I find that synthetics smell and I have to wash them way too hot to get rid of odour, never had that problem with cotton and wool.

I ended up going with Devold Endurance Merino Tights. They are great, except they don’t pass the squat test. Like at all. My solution has been to buy merino hipsters in the same colour and wear underneath. It does work great, but it is annoying that I need the shorts, and that it is so expensive. Does anyone have any other solutions? I know there are more natural fiber ones in America, but many don’t ship to Europe

Company Rave Looking for more 9" women's shorts with seams like this

Post image
5 Upvotes

I've pretty much bought every variation TomboyX has in stock in my size. I like that their swim shorts don't have seams down the center. I wear them while exercising, cycling and lounging. I hate the feel of seams in my butt crack or down the front. They also have a side pocket that fits my phone, which I really like, but mainly it's the seams not being down the center in the front or back.

I feel like I've searched everywhere, but maybe I'm missing something?

I wasn't sure if I should post this as a question or company rave, but I guess I am raving about TomboyX. LOL I'm just looking for more colors/patterns in this style anywhere.

Question where to order from?!

hi! I was in the middle of filling my cart on SWT Active until I decided to look at reviews. I’ve seen many people saying how cute everything is , which is great but I’ve also come across a few saying the quality doesn’t really hold up during proper workouts.

Does anyone have recommendations for activewear brands that are not only flattering but also genuinely functional for intense gym workouts? pieces that are durable, can handle regular washing & still look and feels good over time? pls help!! thanks

Question Scrunch leggings that actually work?

Which leggings offer the most defined scrunch? I have tried a few cheap Amazon ones and the scrunch never really sits properly between the bum. I will pay for branded ones if I can be sure they will do what they are supposed to do. I am beginning to wonder if my bum is the wrong shape for them to work.

Question Anyone know a cheaper alternative to uxl underwear?

I've been wearing UXL underwear for a while now, and I have to say, they're some of the most comfortable and lightweight pairs I've tried. What really surprised me is how well they handle sweat during workouts. Even after a pretty intense session, they don't feel damp or uncomfortable.

Apparently, they use LYCRA fibres, and the packaging even has the LYCRA label on it.

My only complaint is the price. They're definitely not cheap, so I'm wondering if there's anything out there with similar materials and performance for less money.

Anyone tried something that comes close?

After many moons I recently found my OG pair of size 4 2.5” black speed ups. I used to absolutely live in these shorts when I was younger. can I get some opinions on the sizing on me now specifically in the front and back? Too small to wear out now or go for it still? they are cute. F, 22, 5ft6. thanks in advance 💕

437 has been teasing this launch that finally went live today and they failed to mention that it doesn't ship until FEB 2027. I've been wanting a top just like this and refuse to wait 4-5 months to get it, does anyone have a rec for a currently available top like this?

Question Where can I find flared leggings with the same thick fabric as older Lululemon styles?

Years ago I had a pair of Lululemon leggings that I absolutely loved. They were low rise, flared at the bottom, and made from a thicker, cotton-like fabric. They had a substantial, matte feel and draped really nicely instead of clinging to every part of my legs.

I have quite muscular calves, so I've never felt particularly comfortable in leggings. The wider, flared cut of my old Lululemon pair was much more flattering on me and the thicker fabric made a huge difference too.

I've recently tried some wide-leg leggings from Alo, but the fabric is much thinner and more slippery than what I'm looking for.

Does anyone remember these pants? And more importantly, are there any current brands or specific models with a similar cut and fabric?

I'm looking for something low- or mid-rise, flared, and made from a thicker cotton-blend fabric that feels more like actual pants than typical athletic leggings. Ideally something I could wear casually in autumn and winter too.

I'd really appreciate the comments! Thankssss

Question Straight leg workout pants for women?

Post image
32 Upvotes

Just to make clear what I'm looking for: in the collage you can see two different brands and their straight leg leggings. The ones on the left I don't like - they are straight down from underneath the cheek, which isn't what I'm looking for. The My protein ones on the right (in black) have the straight leg start up higher and it looks miles better to be and closer to what I'm looking for, however I'm not huge on how high waisted they are are and they still don't fit the right way. I was in the gym a few days ago and saw a woman wearing workout pants that were like, I want to say 1.5 maybe even 2x wider than the MP ones in my screenshot, and they were a dark pink colour, definitely not as high waisted, and the straight leg shape started from the middle of the butt cheek rather than just under it, but I didn't want to creep her out before she headed up stairs for her workout, and I couldn't make out the logo she had 😭 does anybody know how I'd look for even wider workout pants? Or am I just asking for something that's dead stock by now?

edit for any clarifications: these were leggings she was wearing, not tracksuit or lounge bottoms - could tell by the fabric and the way the fabric hugged her body + the stitching underneath the main waistband. the logo wasn't a word, it was some sort of symbol. the closest in shape I could find are Lifting Dipped Waistband Pants from gymshark, in terms of how they fit around the buttocks, but those are not leggings, and I'd say I saw more width around the legs for sure.

Question Saggy thighs help. 🙏🏼

Looking for help on what “active” shorts are best to hide saggy thighs that don’t ride up.

I have had to add silicone to the inside of some bike shorts to help avoid it riding up.

Iv been looking at the 2 in 1 shorts or skirts
(Bike shorts built in under the shirts or shorts)

But every one iv tried the built in bike shorts are always too loose/ride up it’s so frustrating.

Question What to do if you are losing weight and Black Friday sales is coming up? Buy clothes in current size or 1 size smaller?

Normally I wouldn’t do this but I am down almost 40 lbs but I still have 30 lbs to go. I know most brands will probably have a Black Friday sale so I’m wondering if I should get a few leggings / skorts / shorts in the next size down or just get my current size?

Stats Female, 5’2, 162 lbs. Size L in most leggings and I feel like I’m almost in a M as my large pants are feeling loose. My goal weight is 130 lbs, which I should hit by March or April.

*I am not getting tops or sports bras since I’m busty so it’s hard to predict the future and if I would lose weight in my chest or not.

As far as leggings I feel like I’m on the lower end of Large and will transition into Medium in a month or two.

Weight loss is not guaranteed though. Anything can happen and I can plateau or it can come off slower. So I don’t know if it’s good to buy clothes that’s a size smaller or just wait.
