Welcome to the anti-GOP resistance on Reddit!

We welcome all those who support the Democratic party! We encourage you to share local activism and talk about the groups you're taking part with in your area.

The Midterms are nearly here! And they're the only way to take away even more of Trump's power to hurt people. You can help win elections across the country from anywhere, right now!

If you want to take a bigger part in this Midterm and future elections, there's plenty of ways to do it!

  1. Check out our weekly volunteer post - that's the other sticky post in this sub - to find opportunities to get involved.

  2. Nothing near you? Volunteer from home by making calls or sending texts to turn out voters!

  3. Join your local Democratic Party - none of us can do this alone.

  4. Tell a friend about us!

Adopt a Candidate

Want to take part in turning the midterms into a true blue tsunami? Adopt one of the candidates below, and commit to taking action every week to support their campaign!

Post your preference in the daily (or, to guarantee we see it, send the request via modmail) and we'll add you to the list!

With just how blue this year is looking to be, there's too many to list! We started with select gubernatorial and Senate races, and are expanding the list with important House races up through the election!

Got someone who you want to adopt, but they're not on the list? Let us know, and we'll add them (and you) on!

As the year progresses, we'll be adding more ourselves, but the sky's the limit - we're excited to see who you want to support most!

Ramaswamy gives opponent's abuser another swing at her in campaign ad - KEEP HIM OUT OF POWER

Thumbnail

This is a deeply ugly moment in American politics, and it takes something exceptionally dirty to stand out as uniquely repellent in this muck. DOGE bro and MAGA hanger-on Vivek Ramaswamy, who polls keep showing in deep trouble in his effort to keep the Ohio governor’s office in Republican hands, managed to find a way.

An attack ad against Democratic nominee and former state health department director Dr. Amy Acton began circulating online on Monday, featuring her birth mother Donna Arthur calling her a liar. As Dr. Acton has publicly discussed in the past, she has not spoken to her mother since she was 12, when Arthur stood by Acton’s stepfather after she revealed he had been sexually abusing her. (Dr. Acton and her brother were removed from their mother and stepfather’s custody after he was indicted. Arthur remained married to the abuser until his death.)

Instead of spending the final weeks of the campaign talking about issues that matter to Ohioans, Dr. Acton is now being forced to relive – and defend – the most painful moments of her past. And Ramaswamy, instead of demonstrating any sense of shame, is proud of what he’s done. His campaign has confirmed he will spend $4 million to put this cartoon example of DARVO in front as of as many Ohioans as he can.

No one who would platform their opponent’s abuser can be trusted with power. We need to do our part to help Dr. Acton defeat Ramaswamy. ☎️ Let’s sign up to phonebank with the Ohio Dems to turn out voters in this race. There are shifts every weeknight from 6-8PM ET, on Saturdays from 9AM-8PM and Sundays from noon to 8PM.

Missed Election Deadline

This may be a useless post for this sub, but I'll make one anyway. I just turned 18, and I am now registered to vote in NC. However, I attend an out of state university, and I was never told by my parents, peers, or anyone for that matter on how to get a ballot sent to me or vite online. It should have been my responsibility to look it up or do research on how to get it, but I have had some things going on where I couldn't really do anything at all, and that included finding out how to mail a ballot to me. The deadline was yesterday afternoon and my parents told me this morning, so I am kicking myself for not trying harder to solve my dilemma. I was really eager to vote, and I am 90% sure that I won't be able to this year. Is there anything at all that I can do to vote? Or will I have to just "suck it up" and do better next year?
