Are you 18 – 65 years old living with or without PTSD?
Help researchers at the San Francisco Veterans Medical Center and UCSF’s THRIVE Lab determine the effects of an immune response on emotional responses in women and men with and without PTSD.
This study involves 5 visits to the San Francisco Veterans Medical Center (SFVAMC). Total possible compensation is $300.00, $80 for completing the screening session and an additional $220 for completing the entire study. First, you will be asked to complete a telephone screening to determine eligibility. Then, you will be asked to come to the SFVAMC for a health and physical exam, blood draw, and an audiotaped diagnostic interview conducted by a trained clinical interviewer to assess if you are a fit for the study. If you are eligible, the study will involve 4 additional appointments at the SFVAHCS. The appointments will involve administration of the Typhoid vaccine or placebo followed by measurements of physiological responses as well as blood sampling.
For more information please contact [thrivelab@ucsf.edu](mailto:thrivelab@ucsf.edu) or call (628-842-6681) and mention the LIFE study.

Hi there! I’m working with Utah Valley University’s Center of Social Impact to better understand how meaningful volunteerism can contribute to both organizations, communities, and individual growth. I want to better understand volunteering as a whole, not just volunteering in my home state. If you guys wouldn’t mind taking a few minutes to fill this out I would really appreciate it 🫰🥹

The Upstream Initiative for Juvenile Justice aims to reduce juvenile incarceration by supplying at-risk youth with online mentors who aid them with mental health support, education, and mentorship. The Upstream Initiative for Juvenile Justice also plans to sponsor community events and fundraisers to promote youth and community safety.
To learn more about our organization, please visit our website: theuijj.com
We are currently looking for online volunteers to act as mentors and to serve in a community of at risk-youth through our online platform. If you have any interest in volunteering or a background in mental health, education, or social work, you would be incredibly valuable to the initiative.
Mentors would be asked to join brief calls with assigned youth who align with background or interests as well as participate in online community servers and asynchronous messaging.
If you are interested, please fill out the interest form below and we will be in contact with you shortly
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to DM me or email me at [elysedemetrio1@theuijj.com](mailto:elysedemetrio1@theuijj.com).
Thank you to anyone who is interested in volunteering.

Are you an emerging or seasoned writer and looking to get published? The Source Newspaper, located in Vancouver, is looking for volunteer journalists to help out with feature articles and cover stories. It’s a great way to learn how to write journalistic pieces, work with a team of talented writers and peers, get your name published and build a portfolio. It is mostly remote work but some interviews may require in-person meetings, so please be mindful of that before considering this opportunity.
Please email info@thelasource.com with your resume, cover letter, and work samples.

Human Bridges is part of The Observatory: a free, ad-free wiki-encyclopedia run as a public-education project (we are a nonprofit, published under a Creative Commons license). The Human Bridges area focuses on making recent research in human origins, evolutionary biology, archaeology, and the social sciences accessible to a general audience.
We're looking for volunteers to help identify, shape, and produce original content. It's fully remote, with team meetings over Google Meet, and you'd be working alongside the Human Bridges and Observatory editorial teams.
Roles currently open:
Two current initiatives you might contribute to: the New Grand Tour (a map and information portal for archaeological and ecological sites worldwide, with Costa Rica as the live prototype), and Collaborative Research (bringing participants together to produce long-form pieces).
Helpful background (not all required): editing/proofreading skills, clear writing, comfort with Google Suite, familiarity with a style guide, and any prior editorial or journalism experience — including volunteer Wikipedia editing.
To apply, email a short cover letter and resume to [info@observatory.wiki](mailto:info@observatory.wiki), say you're interested in volunteering with Human Bridges, and name the role you'd like. More details live here: https://observatory.wiki/Human_Bridges/We_Invite_You_to_Dig_Deeper_With_Human_Bridges

Hey everyone!
I built a Telegram bot that matches you with Workaway listings based on your profile skills, vibe, region, duration and sends you alerts when something fits.
No more scrolling through listings that don’t match. You set it up once and wait for the ping.
I’m looking for 5 people to try it completely free and tell me honestly what works and what doesn’t. No strings attached.
If you do volunteer travel or are planning to, drop a comment or DM me and I’ll send you the link.

Hey everyone! An NHS-approved chapter(our chapter number is 137) called SBNTHS through UPchieve, are looking for volunteers who want to get involved. Through this chapter, we’ll be using the UPchieve platform to provide free online tutoring to students in subjects like math, science, reading, and college prep. Everything is virtual so you don’t need to show your face at all. Tutoring is mainly done through text chat, but you can also choose to use voice if you’re comfortable. Another big plus is that it’s super flexible. You log on whenever you’re available and accept requests when it works for you. There’s no fixed schedule. You can volunteer as much or as little as you want, and all your hours count toward community service (and NHS). You’ll also get training through UPchieve before you start, so you don’t need to worry about experience. They guide you on how to tutor effectively. There is no cost to join
To make an account use this link: https://app.upchieve.org/referral/AZjpHTSmG-kl72kU4DkYsA
Then use this link to join our chapter: https://app.upchieve.org/join-team/2QTZNR
Please let me know when you have joined the chapter so I can add you in the Google Classroom to keep you updated
You may text me if you have any questions Thanks a bunch !!!
