I got admitted to MS CMS (Computational Modeling and Simulation) program at TU Dresden in Winter 2025, but had to defer due to visa delays. The uni extended my admission for winter 2026, but the waiting time in my country is still very long and i wont be receiving my visa appointment for atleast 1-2 months. What should i do in this situation as the last date to arrive is mentioned as 31st Oct on the admission letter. Since my visa appointment is very close, im afraid the embassy will demand a late arrival letter. Please guide me as im really worried..and i dont want to lose this opportunity after waiting for so long. I have mailed my faculty with a reminder as well but it's been 2 weeks and i havent got any response. One of my friends is in a similar situation so its not only me.

HI GUYSIES i just did my student visa appointment from riyadh Saudi Arabia and they put a stamp in my passport it was an application stamp and they returned me the passport along with the receipt of the visa fee that i paid.

The visa officer said that once the decision is made i will have to bring my passport and have them collect it for the visa stamp

Now my question is :
for those of you who applied for student visa from Riyadh how long did they take to return the passport after they collected it from you for the stamp??

Has anyone who applied through the German Consulate in Toronto on October 5 or around that date received their passport or pickup email?
I was told I would receive an email when my passport was ready for pickup. I’d really appreciate hearing about your timelines and any updates. Thank you!

Hello guys today i received my passport with visa on it. Just sharing my timeline.

21st August: Entered waiting list on CSP

31st August: Got out of waiting list and uploaded documents

2nd September: After few back n fourth corrections booked appointment at VFS Mumbai

9th September: Attended appointment and submitted biometrics

Now comes the time of waiting. Frustration, anxiety, and every thing bad you can imagine of 😶

After 37 days from appointment

16th October: Received decision made on CSP portal

17th October: Received passport with visa 🥳

There are a few others posts related VFS giving out very confusing statuses and notifications for long term visa to Germany (student or employment) to people who applied from Hyderabad to Chennai. I have the same situation (applied for work visa, VFS Hyderabad)

The pattern seems to be:

• Processed application is in transit from embassy to visa operation center
• Email notification (all around 2-3 am on Friday)
  • Processed application ref no. XXXX is received at Chennai Operation Center in India.
  • Processed application ref no. XXXX is received at India Operation Center
• Now the status is back to "is under process at Embassy of Germany in India."
  • and some people unable to track the application at all (invalid input).
• CSP shows, "Decision pending" despite the previous notifications.

While I hope that everyone's visa is actually processed, and we all get our visas fast, but seeing what's happening, it makes me wonder if VFS messed with some glitch, where they accidentally updated statuses, and are now correcting it. This seems to especially happening to folks who applied from Hyderabad or Chennai, to the Consulate in Chennai.

It's a weekend, so I am not sure if we will hear back from them till Monday. This is all super frustrating.

Did anyone who applied for student visa in Bengaluru vfs between September 1st to September 20th get visa’s?

My friend gave biometrics on September 7th and still decision pending.

I'm going to be starting my bachelors in germany for which i have to complete a 10 months studienkolleg. So for that i have to book an visa appointment in the consulate general in mumbai. they have been so slow its been almost 3 weeks of daily reviewing if the slots are available every 2 hours and yet till date no slots.... tried contacting them but theres no support and all they say is to keep waiting and reviewing. 3 weeks is a huge time because if i had the same to make an appointment in VFS office. they are comparatively fast and even give the date of the next day but that would've only been possible if i were starting my bachelors directly. Because of this studienkolleg course i have to go for consulate general and im stuck at this position. Please share guidance if any. Also are others facing the same issue? Is consulate providing slots?

I had my German student visa appointment at the VFS Mumbai on 8 September 2026. Afterward, my passport was returned, and I received an email requesting additional documents through VFS. I was specifically told not to resubmit my passport until the Consulate requested it.

I submitted all the requested documents through VFS on 23 September, but I still haven’t received any further update or instructions regarding my passport.

I am planning to apply to the University of Saarland for my master's degree. The application deadline is November 15th, 2026 for the summer intake 2027, and the results will be out by January 15th, 2027. So if I get the results on January 15th and apply for a visa by, say, January 20th, will I get the visa within two or three months so that I can be there when the classes start in the first week of April 2027? Is it an ideal timeline? Or is it really tight? Please help me with the visa planning.

Seeking Experiences: German §16d Visa for MBBS Graduates – VFS Chennai

I am an MBBS graduate who applied for a German national visa under Section 16d (§16d) through VFS Chennai.

My application timeline is as follows:

• 24 June 2026: Completed biometrics at VFS Chennai.
• 20 July 2026: Received a request from the BfAA to submit additional documents.
• 6 October 2026: Submitted the requested documents directly at VFS Chennai under my existing application, without booking a new appointment.
• 9 October 2026: Emailed the same documents to the BfAA.

I recently encountered a confusing change in my VFS tracking status. It initially showed “Processed application received at Visa Operation Centre in India,” and I also received an email notification confirming this. However, the following day, the status changed back to “Application is under process at the German Consulate.”

I understand that other applicants have reportedly experienced a similar issue.

I would be grateful if anyone who applied for a German §16d visa, particularly MBBS graduates applying through VFS Chennai, could share their experience.

Specifically, I would like to know:

1. How long did it take to receive a decision after submitting additional documents requested by the BfAA?
2. Did anyone experience the same VFS tracking status reversal?
3. If so, how long did it take for the status to update, and when did you receive your passport or visa?
4. Did anyone submit additional documents under their existing application without booking a new appointment?

I need a genuine advice regarding application of german student visa, as my ielts is getting expire on 23 Nov 2026, and my agent is telling me to lodge the file because outcomes are coming in just 22 days, so it will not be an issue. What should I do?

I ha vfs submission at vfs banglore on 12 th october.on 16 th october 12 pm got an sms as well as email statingProcessed application has being dispatched via courier on 16/10/2026.

Vfs tracking was also showing the same till yesterday night...since today morning vfs tracking site shows invalid input when i give my reference number...also no update regarding my application since the mail from vfs...no msg from any courier service / agency...can anyone help me out to know the details ...nd the possible causes..or is it normal ?

I initiated my payment on 25th September and till now my money hasn’t reflected in my blocked account yet. I called Fintiba to find out what’s happening, the guy that picked up was so rude and hanged up the call. Meanwhile my class is about to begin and my visa application is on standby waiting for my blocked account confirmation 🤦🏾‍♂️

I don’t Know why a company like “Fintiba” would let some rude employees damage they’re reputation

VFS tracking showed the processed application was in transit but now changed back to under process at german embassy. Technical error? Or has the embassy pulled back the application?

I would like to inquire whether I can apply for my daughter's visa along with my German student visa application. My daughter is 3.5 years old, and both my husband and I currently reside in the UAE.

I have heard of a similar case where a female student applied for her student visa and her daughter's visa simultaneously from the UAE. Her husband provided a sponsorship letter confirming that he would take full financial responsibility for their daughter.

Could you please confirm whether this is possible in my case as well, and whether a sponsorship letter from my husband would be sufficient to support my daughter's visa application?

I had a german visa appointment since 2023 but I skipped my appointment because I couldn’t manage an offer letter within said time. I was wondering since the rule have changed: Can I manage a german university offer letter, then apply for student visa ? Mainly I was asking if there would be any issue as I had previous german visa appointment and I didn’t sit for the visa.?!??

Hi, i applied for a German study visa; biometric done on 29th Sep. Decision pending showed up at CSP portal on 1st Oct. No update after that on CSP . On 14th Oct status changed at VFS tracking site to 'processed application received at visa operation center in India'. This morning it changed to "processed application is in transit from embassy to visa operation center" and today evening it was changed to 'application under process in the German embassy'.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on or if anyone got out of this situation?

Applied for admission at berlin international college
On 27 august my application was sent to uni assist
Around 20 sept got my acceptance letter from helibron public uni
Arranged blocked account and fees in about 10 days
On 2 October applied on csp it was friday that day received correction after the weekend on 5 oct after correction booked appointment same day for 8 oct
The appointment went smoothly chose premium lounge because with courier service included it costed only 2000 more
On 13 oct received mail to check on csp
Csp showed decision made Best
16 oct received passport with visa

I think i was lucky because every part of the process was quicker then aspected
Aps in 20 days
Csp in 2 working days
Visa processing in 4 working days

My CSP portal started showing that my application had been decided by the German mission.
However, my VFS tracking status still says “Under process at Embassy of Germany in India.”
I also received a notification stating that my processed application had been received at the Chennai Operation Centre, but I haven’t yet received my passport.
I’m confused about the difference between these two statuses.
My questions:
If CSP says “decision made” but VFS still says “under process,” which status should I rely on?
