That Brock already has his two-way Venture wrist communicator even as a trainee? Perhaps they issued it to him so he'd be familiar with it as soon as possible, knowing they'd put him on Operation Rusty.

While rewatching Season One for my comprehensive list of characters project, I noticed many background characters who appeared multiple times that have already been noted by people on the wiki, like the thugs in the pilot showing up in Return to Spider-Skull Island, the infamous Rick Danger, etc. But, there is one I haven't seen anyone talk about yet:

The lady who is giving Kano a massage in Past Tense looks really similar to Otaku Senzuri's acupuncturist in the pilot episode. They do take place in different cities (Kano's in Kyoto, Senzuri's in Tokyo), but they have like, identical facial features and hair cuts, doing the same exact jobs. Has anyone else noticed this?

This is imo, the correct level of paranoia.

Can't promote the maker, but I finally got my watch from a company. They also do metal bands as well. And custom engraving. Love it!

He only shows up in two episodes and both of those have low ratings. Coincidence? I think not!

I get not caring much for him, but I've seen some people state that they flat out don't like him. I thought he was annoyingly cute 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi everyone! I have been in the process of documenting every single character in Venture Bros, pictured and mentioned. And yes, I mean every single one! It's still a huge work in progress, but I recently finished up compiling for Season One, and made a celebratory collage of every character that I marked down as being shown or mentioned! I do plan on making a higher quality version, but this is the one I ended up throwing together in MS Paint!

To note: any characters that got mentioned in the first season, but not shown (Monstroso, the Moppets, etc.), I just used a screenshot from later seasons. I also did not necessarily use every character's first season depiction, if they show up multiple times.

It's also very possible that I missed some characters, or have characters on here that you have questions about, so if anyone has any questions or corrections, let me know!

I just thought he was a generic wizard with a plainly straightforward name, but here are the indications as far as I can think of:

• "Mantle" can be taken as a double entendre for the earth's mantle.
• Parts of his cloak are decorated in a way resembling a stylized rendering of lava cracking through a rock surface, a common cartoony "volcanic rock" design.
• We see him move a pile of earth to cover the Clue Clown's grave (I had previously assumed this was him just applying some kind of general telekinesis, like Orpheus.)
  • (Edit, forgot to mention) Snoopy actually points this out and calls him as "an elemental". (I had previously taken this as a gag about him jumping to conclusions from limited info, since he then also IDs them as a "she" due to them wearing a gown and veil.)
• When he's getting lucky with Redusa (who he's had a history with) at Wide Wale's party she moans "Oh yeah, make the earth move."

The last one in particular suddenly made it click for me today, despite being like the 3rd time seeing that episode.

Anyone have any other "jokes" (can hardly call this a joke, but it enriches the world) that had been staring them in the face for 10+ years?

Was invited to Hatreds protagonist-Warming party. Always enjoy seeing villains before they are properly introduced, makes the world feel more "real" I guess.

Theres been many insults on the show which one best describes you? Mines is Lurid Golem I'm 6'1 and built like a brick house T.T

I recently bought a pack of venture bros media that came with Season 1-3 on DVD and Season 5 on bluray, It costed 42$. Is that a good deal? I wanna make sure I didnt get a bootleg or anything since I know there ARE bootlegs of the venture bros.

I may have done a bit of a cop out for "Dad Band" but I really felt like Rusy's ego would kill the project before the project got off the ground. My favourite this week was doing a cyberpunk Orpheus I might redraw it so I can do a full outfit. So sorry for the realistic one I found a picture of Patrick Warburton online and ended up doing him a bit dirty.
