I just took my second exam for mb and my current exam average is 73%, and I need a 75% or above to pass. I feel really bummed and stressed out, because I’m usually a an A/high B student and have been doing good in the program until level 3. A lot of people tell me the third and fourth exams are the hardest and to do good on the first two. I’m trying but there is something I’m not doing it seems like if I failed both exams. What are some study tips/advice? Can I come back from this or accept the fact I might fail this class and will have to retake it :/. What I did for this exam was create a study guide on Claude printed it out and took notes on it. I then asked Claude to generate upper level nclex style questions using my study guide and give me detailed rationales. I also retook the weekly ATI quizzes and read a little bit from the ATI book but not a whole lot, I mostly used lecture slides and the guided notes for studying. I use a similar method for CAI using lecture notes and I’m doing fine in that class but not this one. PLEASE let me know if I need to tweak anything or change something. I really don’t want to fail this class!! Thank you.

recently this past weekend i visited the UT Tyler campus as well as some of the housing and i do like it a lot! i have always wanted to go to college but i come from a financially questionable and rather insecure household and nobody has really gone to college except TJC for a short time. i dont drive nor do i have a job as my parents wont necessarily allow me to at the moment, so going to college will be harder. but i want to do it! i believe FASFA will help with this, right? someone i know who goes to UT said that they are on something called the Patriot Promise, which i looked into and supposedly it covers any tuition if you make less than 100k (which i believe i do) for all four years? if i apply to UT for fall 2027 and complete FASFA and qualify for financial aid/grants would that cover my tuition or does the promise? i was also hoping i could figure out a way to live on campus that way all i have to do is walk to classes and work or whathave you, but im wondering, if my tuition is covered from the Patriot Promise will any other remaining aid or grants go towards housing/meal plan? hopefully that all makes sense…

basically im just trying to see if i can actually do this and make a future for myself. what im really asking is, is anyone here apart of the Patriot Promise? what all does it cover? if just tuition, what should i do in terms of housing? will other financial aid go towards housing?
im thinking if housing cost cant be reduced i can just save for a car and drive there but not live there. ahhhh, im just not sure! thank you for any help:)

Can someone give me some advice on level 2? I’ve been looking at the modules and I have been feeling overwhelmed already.
Also the being check offs being around the corner are scaring me at the moment.

Starting Level 3 soon and taking CAI + Mother Baby. For anyone who’s already taken them, what helped you the most with studying?
Did you mainly use lecture slides, ATI, Quizlet, YouTube, etc.? Also, any tips for exams, clinicals, or things you wish you knew before starting would be appreciated 🤍

Are there any South Asians or Indians at UT Tyler? Honestly, just POC? Obviously, it doesn’t really matter that much, you can be friends with anyone and people here have been so incredible. But since Tyler doesn’t have enough of a population to celebrate things like Garba or Diwali, I just think it would be nice to meet some people so homesickness doesn’t strike. At the very least, have a diverse friend group!! I love learning about all these cultures and stuff too. Honestly, I’m also looking for more city/town people as well. I love everyone here, they’re so sweet, but I need to get out of my apartment even if it’s not anything super hype. Just get together in others rooms, stores, thrifting, cafes of people have cars, etc.

Hey guys. I’m a CAP student at UT Tyler living at Upines. I’m trying to be social and make the best out of this year because everyone says freshman year is supposed to be super fun. I think maybe because I came from a larger city in Texas? But I feel like all I’m doing here is class, wander, home, repeat. I haven’t really been able to go out and would like to meet some hype people who, yeah are chill and can have fun wherever, but also like to go out or party a bit.
