I start the Customized Online MBA in Spring 2027 and want to hear from people who finished it.
What were you doing before the program, and what are you doing now?
Did the degree play a real part in that change, or would it have happened anyway?
Has anyone in an interview or at work treated it differently because it was online?
If you used the Jindal School career office, what did they actually do for you?
Short answers are fine.
Thanks

Hey everyone,
I am a graduate student here at UTD, and my family deals with sensitive skin and eczema flare-ups. I have heard from several students that dorm water and stress really aggravate their skin, and campus options for basic hygiene are limited.
I am working on a project called First Year Fresh focused on curating full-size, dermatologist-recommended essentials (Dove Sensitive, Cetaphil lotion and cleanser) specifically for students.
For those living in the residence halls or campus apartments: what personal care or sensitive skin items do you usually run out of first mid-semester? Would love to hear what Comets actually need most.

i know this point has been made a million times already but i genuinely cannot stress just HOW BAD utd drivers are. i just want to cross the road on designated, painted crosswalks (which already gives a pedestrian the right of way) and some asshole stops on it, rolls his window down, and claims theres no sign to “wait”. i hate to be the bearer of bad news to this dude, but there’s always a “yield to pedestrians” sign 5 feet from crosswalks. its just proof they never care and theyre doomscrolling on carplay or something while on campus. please let me have a day where i get hit and get my tuition paid, i dare yall 🙏

Student researcher (coauthor) needed. Ideal for a chemistry, math, or physics student. Coupled cluster (CC) theory gives electronic or nucleonic correlation information inside an atom. I want to calculate quantum information science metrics via the density matrix. I have the roadmap, we probably could finish it this semester. I’ve published with students in the past.
Benefits: paper will be posted on arXiv and submitted for publication; learn coupled cluster theory; Starbucks from time to time; bring a friend.
Requirements: calculus; not afraid of vectors and matrices; will use Python but ChatGPT can help us code; meet on campus 1-2 weekly.
Please tell me your major, year, number of hours you’re taking this semester. Thanks for reading.

Hi everyone! I’m trying to figure out the most efficient way to complete my core business classes without unnecessarily extending my time in college.
The reason is that I just want to focus on taking accounting classes which is my major and bypass other classes that I feel like do not contribute much to my degree like BCOM, MKT or BLAW. I also feel like in most of these classes, I still have to spend time self-studying, and that the professors did ZERO job in helping me expanding my horizon in the subjects.
For those of you who have graduated or are currently pursuing a business degree from JSOM, were there any strategies you used to finish your UTD core business courses faster?
For example, did you take classes during the summer or winter sessions, take courses at a community college and transfer the credits, or use CLEP exams or other alternatives?

I’m working with my organization, called Ascend, specifically the North Texas Chapter. We’re having a cultural event soon, and as a volunteer I wanted to ask if we had any dance crews that I could possibly refer to my volunteer team lead to possibly discuss performing at our Diwali Event.
I’m not too familiar with our creative arts majors other than what I did in my theater class, so I’d really appreciate if someone could direct me to anyone I could talk to about our event!
P.S.: I hope the tag fits 😅

Which student newspaper do y’all think is actually better? Like, who’s putting out the best stories and doing a better job covering what’s happening on campus? Curious what everyone thinks.
Let’s settle this. Who’s actually cooking? 👀🔥

Hi everyone,
I recently got admitted to UT Dallas Jindal for MS Accounting and Analytics for Fall 2027 and have accepted my admission offer. However, I’m still unsure about the scholarship timeline, as the portal mentions 200+ days.
Has anyone received a scholarship decision recently? How long does it usually take?
Thanks

Do I need to do all of the essay prompts? Like A, B, and C? Ik they're optional, but I don't want to risk it.

Hey all,
Our student research team for ECS 2390 is gathering data on campus hygiene infrastructure and illness trends across UTD campus.
If you attend in-person classes this semester, please take 2-3 mins to fill out our quick anonymous survey if you can: https://utdallas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1XDkP3xp6QpvTvM
Thank you all for reading, and huge thank you if you take your time to fill out the survey! 🙏

Hello everyone! I am trying to figure out what schools are good for a speech-language pathologist program. For anyone who is in the grad program for SLP how is it? It’s the only school on my list that requires a GRE, so I’m wondering if it’s worth it to take the test for the one school
r/utdallas • u/oxef_ • 2d ago
I imagine actual gambling probably wouldn't be allowed by the school for an official club, but is there even a club that just uses fake money/chips? feel like i remember seeing a poster for one like a year ago but never heard anything after. if there isn't one, would yall be interested? i just like playing poker

as a neuro major, when can you start taking the neuro electives like neuroscience of pain, sleep/sleep disorders, etc?
do people do that spring of freshman year or is it not recommended?

edit: Taimur Khan my bad
Hi yall, I just took my first exam with Professor Khan, and there were many questions on the test that were just downright confusing or too esoteric. I studied a good amount and felt confident going into the quiz, but I know there were things I got wrong walking out.
If anyone has had Khan before, has this been your experience? And does he usually curve his exams? I definitely feel like there needs to be a curve if there's so few points to go around in his class.

I am a National Merit high school senior coming from out of town to visit the campus Oct 23-24 (Scholars' Day). I will be studying Computer Science BS/MS. What should I see and do while I am here? What clubs, events, activities? Will any CS research labs let me in to visit with grad students?
