Question Exactly top five percent auto admit question

This may be a dumb question but ive gotten a lot of mixed answers. Im a senior and as of the end of my junior year I am ranked 4/80 which is exactly 5%. Some things ive seen said I don't qualify for auto admit because it's exact and others say I do. Let me know if anyone that has gotten in or went to UT in a similar situation. Thank you.

Advice Will UT Consider My GPA after Spring '27?

Hi quick question: I will be applying to UT for Fall '27 and I know I will need to submit my transcript for once this semester finishes.

I will also attend cc in this upcoming spring semester so I'll send an updated transcript will they also take THAT gpa into consideration?

Def want to achieve a 3.5-3.6 this semester then have a higher gpa after I finish my spring semester

Question Does UT take into account your school's rigor?

My high school only offers 4 AP classes. I'll have taken 3 by graduation (advanced precalculus has been moved to AP this year). I did well on the AP precal and AP lit exams (5), and feel that I'm doing well in AP Cal and AP Lang. I've been unable to find a solid source on of UT will count the AP course quantitatively or proportionately. I do qualify for auto admissions, but since I'm a math major I've been stressed about my admission to CNS, so it would put me at ease to know which way they count it.

Housing Applying For Housing Showing Error When Clicked in MyStatus

Post image
1 Upvotes

On my UT MyStatus portal it shows I am able to apply to housing, but every time I click the linked apply button it just sends me to an ET Support Center link. It's my top choice school so I want to get good housing early even before I know if I'm admitted. I did only apply about 5 days ago though, and got my MyStatus on Thursday. Is it one of those things I just have to wait for or is this an error I should email about? Thanks!

Question I messed up so bad... (accidentally forgot AP scores)

Ok so just a quick summary: I applied to public affairs @ LBJ on October 15th and I submitted my official ACT score right after. I checked my actual CommonApp over and over to make sure there were no errors but fully missed over the fact that you could report AP scores in CommonApp which I feel so stupid for not knowing I could do...

I'm graduating with 15 APs and have already taken 9 exams that I feel like I should've reported on the CommonApp but it will definitely help with my holistic application review since i'm not an autoadmit and have a 3.8 UW...

Is there anything I can do at this point? Can I upload scores to MyStatus once I gain access?

Question Wrong ACT Test date on my portal.

I sent my official test scores for the test I took on September 19, but my portal lists the test date as September 1. Should I email admissions or is this something I don’t need to worry about?

Chance Me Do I have a chance at UT Austin Nursing as an OOS applicant?

I’m a senior from California interested in applying to UT Austin for nursing! I have decent extracurriculars, but I’ve heard UT prioritizes in-state students and that nursing is extremely competitive. 😭
Do you think it’s worth applying, or are my chances pretty low as an out-of-state applicant? Nursing is my dream, so I’d love to hear any advice!

Chance Me Can I get into UT being 3rd Quartile?

Hey guys, I wanted to come on here to ask if y’all think there’s a realistic chance of me getting into UT Austin. UT is my dream school, and I’ve honestly always dreamed of becoming a Longhorn. I submitted my application yesterday, but I’ve struggled with a chronic illness throughout high school that significantly affects my day-to-day life. Between hospitalizations, treatments, and flare-ups, I’ve missed over 100 days of school, which has definitely affected my academic performance. I explained these circumstances in my application and wrote about how my experiences have shaped me in my personal essay. My stats are a 3.4 weighted GPA, 2.9 unweighted GPA, third-quartile class rank, and a 1260 SAT. I’ve taken 9 AP classes throughout high school, and I’m an in-state applicant applying for Youth and Community Studies as my first-choice major and Human Development and Family Sciences as my second (Regular decision) For extracurriculars, I founded a podcast focused on supporting young people with chronic illnesses, have extensive volunteering experience, including hospital volunteering, hold leadership positions, mentor younger kids, and work a part-time job. I know my academics aren’t the most competitive, but I genuinely put a lot of effort into my application and essays. I’m also very interested in the CAP program if direct admission doesn’t work out. Ideally, I’d really like to spend all four years at Austin. I know nobody can predict admissions decisions, but I was wondering if anyone has gotten into UT with similar stats or circumstances. I’d really appreciate realistic opinions because becoming a Longhorn means so much to me. Thank y’all, and Hook ’em!

Question Rush shipping for October SAT- will it arrive by EA deadline for supplemental materials?

Help please!!! I submitted my August SAT score when i applied for early action but October SAT Scores came out this morning and i scored way better. I sent my scores to UT the same hour they came out, is there any way they'll make it in time for the October 22 additional materials deadline. I paid for rush shipping which says it takes 1-4 business days to send. Can someone please help me know if there's a chance they'll receive them in time or how likely it is. Thank you!

Chance Me SAT score for McCombs, good enough?

Hi I just wanted to see what the general consensus is regarding my SAT score of 1470 (730 for math, 740 RW) for McCombs. I posted a chance me a while ago but I am top 5% and have decent activities so I just want to know if this SAT is good since that was a glaring hole in my app last time I did a chance me (1280)

Discussion Is Mccombs possible with a 1380?

Is Mccombs even possible with a 1380 SAT? I have a 1380 SAT and I've taken it twice again after that score and did worse both times. I could take November but I would have to skip an important thing to take it again. I'm a homeschooled student and have a 4.0 unweighted with around 30 hours of college credit. What do yall think?

Chance Me Cooked GPA what are my chances

I’m a 19 year old freshman who wants to transfer to UT austin to major in biology for Pre-Med. I’ve been doing a lot of research into what it takes to get into UT Austin and i’m getting increasingly worried that i am incredibly cooked. I am currently enrolled in South College for their ADN track and after a bit i decided i want to become a Physician instead. My GPA at South College is a 3.95 with like 36 Credits (probably 28ish transferable credits) But in highschool i took dual credit courses and failed basically ALL of them. I attended collin college and my gpa there was a 1.87 with like 24 credits 😬(Don’t make fun of me my mom had cancer i was NOT focused on school. Ps she recovered fully shes chill now)

Besides just school i’ve been desperately trying to Resume-Maxx.
I’ve worked full time (plus lots of overtime) as an EMT for the past 10 months and have about 2000 Patient care hours and will probably end up with like 4500 by Fall 2027.
I am part my of city’s community emergency response team and plan to Volunteer
I have started a food drive partnered with my local helping hands and plan to do multiple drives
I am Planning on getting my CPR teaching license and start community classes in order to teach CPR to the public for free.
I have shadowed nurses and plan to shadow 2 doctors of different specialties
I Plan on finding a research group i can maybe join (HMU if ur in the DFW area)
I’m trying EVERYTHING to make up for my GPA but i’m just so scared they won’t look past my abysmal past.
I do plan on retaking literally every course from Collin but considering they average all past attempts at UT my gpa will probably barely raise .

I want to know what my chances are and if there’s anything else i can do in order to make my UT dream more possible.Thank you for reading sorry if this was disorganized

Chance Me What are my chances as a transfer from UTD?

I'm currently a freshman at UTD majoring in Public Health and potentially pursuing Pre-PA. (I started out pre-med, but financially that isn't super realistic for me)

I want to transfer into the Health and Society major (Liberal Arts Major) at UT Austin for my sophomore year.

Is this realistic if I maintain my GPA, continue my job as a medical assistant, and stay active in my orgs?

(The Period Project, Neuroscience Student Association, Global Medical Training at UTD, and the UT Dallas Global Medical Missions Alliance)

Question Apply Texas doesn't show sat scores

Ok so I'm confused bc UT requires sat scores but nowhere on the Apply Texas form does it give the option to submit scores. I lowkey hate apply Texas compared to common app but I'm only applying bc it's free. should I just submit through common app and pay the $75??

Question UT Early Action Time Deadlines(11:59 PM)

Post image
7 Upvotes

I'm actually geeking tf out. I submitted it 11:45 CDT from Houston, which means I submitted it before the deadline, since Austin is in the same time zone. I submit it and end up seeing ts:

Genuinely what do I do? I don't even know if I'm good or not, since it says "Early Action" but 12/16 right on top of that. I'm so lost. Also, why is it showing the clock in Eastern Time? wouldn't it be 11:59 according to the college's local deadline?
