Does anyone know when they’re posting the Spring classes?
Last I heard it was supposed to be the 7th of October but I’m just curious if anyone has an update :P

Has anyone gotten emails regarding info for commencement in December or know if they are even doing one this year with the whole LSUNO thing? I was told I’d get information by now and haven’t heard a thing. Reached out to past advisors and heard nothing of course.

today (10/07/2026), I was in the UC when a guy came up to me and started talking with me. at first, I thought everything was normal, but as soon as he left, a nice girl sitting nearby came up and told me that he's known for following/stalking girls around campus, specifically near the library. she told me that he's been reported a couple of times, but nothing's been done about it yet.
he had short, black hair, glasses, camo/army backpack, wearing a super mario shirt.
posting this so other girls can be aware and stay safe.

I've heard a few times around from people that DHS is apparently going to be at our career fair as a company available tomorrow. Why haven't we been told or warned about this ???? I'm pretty sure some people might be protesting or something outside of it because of that but What !! The !! Fuck !!
It's going to make so many people feel totally unsafe and makes me feel sick to know they're going to be here just allowed to act as normal people and like it's a normal job.

Hi all!
I have an update for all the people who engaged with my previous post: Unite to hold UNO to a higher standard.
The SGA president responded and let me know there will be a town hall tomorrow from 12-2pm with university administrators supposedly attending. I’ll try to be in attendance for the entirety of the town hall. I care about this university and higher learning so I really want to hear how they are going to turn things around. However, I did want to take some time and address my friend’s circumstance of having to pay thousands of dollars due to UNO staff negligence, because of its egregious nature.
I will be preparing statements with follow up questions for both UNO at large and my friend’s situation.
To make sure everyone’s worries are addressed I wanted to see if you all wanted to get on a call with me. You could let me know exactly what you want them to respond to and what would be a satisfactory response.
Please dm me if you want to get on a call. I work until 5 and have class from 6-8:45 today. So, I might get out around 8-9pm. I’ll be available to talk after that.
I hope this is a good step in the right direction and hope to see some of you there tomorrow.
Edit: the town hall will be in room 208 in the UC.

Has anyone had issues with FINALLY getting someone at the university to respond, you have a back-and-forth (not an argument, btw) through email, (I am trying to get to the bottom of a financial aid issue that was not conveyed at all), and then the university just stops responding? I had two legitimate questions and points (being labeled as a full time student for my last semester of graduate school AND them not grandfathering my loans in despite the "big beautiful bill" allowing it) and instead of answering and telling me they are working/checking on it (as we went back and forth multiple times in ONE DAY), they have not responded since Thursday (10/1).
Not even a "you read the policy wrong" or whatever. Just flat out stopped mid conversation. I would call, but no one ever answers or calla back. I am off work for fall break, I will drive the two hours to have this conversation in person So unprofessional.

Just wondering if anyone has taken FIN3300 as a winter course and how it went? I took MKT3501 as a winter course last year and I did struggle a little keeping up but ended with an A. How difficult is it? If you took it during a regular semester, would you recommend someone to take it during a 4 week period?

Once my payment is distributed and out of Anticipated, when will I receive the refund?
r/UNO • u/Spiritual-Plate1379 • 19d ago
My refund had been in pending since 9/22, i don’t remember ever waiting this long for it to be deposited. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Is it worth it/possible to dual major in psychology and biological sciences at UNO? Im a psych major right now, but I'm very interested in studying virology. I just don't know if it would be too much of a course load to do both.

Is there any way to speed up the refund process? I’m a single parent really trying to finish putting myself through school. I had to spend the last of my money on electricity. I have nothing left for the week until I get paid. My refund went to pending on 09/22 but it has stalled out now and I just do not know when to even expect it anymore and no one would answer the phones last week.

Is anyone that is reaching out to the university and bursar's office actually getting a response? I've called and left messages, because of course that don't answer, AND sent emails. I haven't gotten a response.
Update: Funny how when we start posting about it, and sending multiple messages (still no reply, btw), things actually start happening with refunds 🤔

Does anyone know if they are bringing this research opportunity back? I’ve been checking the website weekly since school started because applications usually open up at the end of August but nothing has updated. Applications are still listed as closed and the whole website is from 2025.
I’m not really sure who to reach out to about it either so if anyone knows who I can email would also help!
Hope they aren’t getting rid of it!
