Hello, I’m asking this on behalf of a friend at unr (i’m a student at unlv) who is looking into transferring to unlv in the spring. The credit transfer process is pretty straightforward, but how does financial aid work? My friend has several scholarships from UNR which obviously if they are UNR specific they won’t transfer to unlv but is there any other kind of financial package that can be received for a mid year transfer? Any resources or info will be a great help!!

I have to take that class within the next year but I saw the RMP scores for the professors that teach it are really bad.

I want to prepare by learning as much as I can on my own before I take their classes.

If anyone has taken that class, are the professors as bad as people say on RMP? I took Prof Ho for stat411 and he was absolutely horrendous, I can’t imagine they get worse than him.

Hi all, so back in college I was charged with reckless driving (had just gotten my license, manic episode, diagnosed bipolar whatever etc).

I graduated this May and was looking into admin jobs. I knew someone who was lucky and got hired because they were a student worker before so they had connections. They didn’t like their degree and couldn’t get a job in the field and ended up with an easy desk job (their words not mine)….and I’m kind of in the same boat now. I think most jobs on campus require master’s but I don’t plan on getting one, at least not any time soon.

So anyway, given my past how easy would it be? I’ve applied to 1 but I don’t want to get my hopes up/keep looking if there’s no point.

Hi everyone! I’m Jillian, a student at UNLV working on a business idea for my entrepreneurship class. I’m researching how travelers and hosts handle groceries and basic cooking supplies in short-term rentals.

I’m hoping to talk with people who either:

• Have stayed multiple nights in an Airbnb, Hostel, or similar rental and cooked during their stay.
• Host or manage short-term rentals with kitchens.

For travelers, I’d love to hear about your most recent experience figuring out what was available, shopping for groceries, and deciding what to do with anything left over.

For hosts, I’m interested in how you manage kitchen supplies between guests, what happens to leftover food, and whether any of this creates extra work.

Anyone here had any success from convincing a prof to bump an 87 to a 90? Any tips?

The organization is called restored church worldwide. Multiple complaints have been submitted but yet UNLV will not take action regarding this. This cult is brain washing students and causing them to not finish school as a disciple. They offer you and harass and pressure you to come to Bible studies that each one ends in a verbal agreement. They twist the words of the Bible to their own agenda. The big leader is Kip McKean. These people are on the campus that aren’t even enrolled into classes but up there recruiting just so they can keep getting free access and taking all of the students money and defunding UNLV. Report them and be aware if approached.
