Hey, has anyone taken the sociology 101 midterm exam from Sarah Beaulieu’s class? Is the exam the same length as the practice one and are they just fairly similar questions?

Hi! I've recently become interested in becoming a Medical Laboratory Assistant and was wondering if anyone who's graduated from or is currently in UFV's MLA program could share their experience!

How manageable is the workload alongside a part-time job? How difficult is the coursework, especially for someone with no previous healthcare experience? What was the practicum like, and how easy was it to find employment after graduation (especially a permanent position)?

I haven't seen any other posts about this program, as it seems to be very new, so I'd really appreciate any insight or advice. Thank you!!

I wanted to reach out to see if anyone here might be interested in joining a small volunteer initiative I'm putting together in the Lower Mainland.

I'm a social services professional, and I've been wanting to organize something focused on helping people experiencing food insecurity. There are plenty of people going through difficult times, whether they're experiencing homelessness, newly arrived in Canada, or part of a lower-income household struggling to afford groceries.

The hope is to bring together people who genuinely want to help, organize some meaningful projects, and gradually grow into something that can make a difference in our communities.

I'm Punjabi and grew up here in BC, and seva, the idea of selfless service and giving back without expecting anything in return, is a big part of what inspired me to start this. Of course, the group is open to everyone, regardless of background.

We're still in the early stages, and I'd love to welcome people who want to contribute their time, skills, or ideas.

Current UFV students, former students, and alumni are all encouraged to get involved! I know everyone has work, school, family, and other responsibilities, so there's no expectation of a huge time commitment.

Has anyone else’s references having trouble submitting the referee form?

I sent them the url for the Microsoft document UFV has in their application page. I’ve had 2 references so far that have filled out every field and the submit button is not working.

Just want to know if this is happening to anyone else??

Hey guys, I need recommendations for good calc professors next semester. the one I have now is horrible and I cannot have another bad one. idk if I'll even pass this sem. I'm a slower thinker so I find the 20 min quizzes difficult to get done in time, and the cold calling on people to answer questions when I'm still catching up on the notes is brutal. if anyone has suggestions on who's class to register for I would be grateful.

Hello everyone, Please has anyone recently done the NUC program. I would like to know about the employment rate and job placement assistance available to graduates of the Nursing Unit Clerk program.

It seems like no one really cares if you do it? I’ve seen other students vaping around campus and there doesn’t seem to be too much of an issue, so I’m curious what the official (and unofficial) stance is on that.

Does anyone know if anyone in executive or management got laid off? It feels like it was all staff.

For anyone who's taken BIO 210 lecture with Alan, how did you study/prepare for his exams? We have a midterm coming up and I feel so lost. He seems like a nice person but his lecture slides are just pictures and don't mention any details on what we should know. I've been taking down notes on things he says in lecture but i still feel like I barely have any study material. I would appreciate any tips/strategies you guys have as well as any free resources that help as I can't afford to pay for more textbooks right now
