Hello to the riders

I am looking to take my family biking around the beautiful arrangements made in the UAE and the only solutions that fits my car without violating the warranty is roof racks and the tail rack (hook kind and not the hitch mounted), i dont like the hook up once because I will surely scratch my car and dont have the space to store it when not in use (99% of the time)

So i got this, I wanna make sure I am not breaking any laws before heading to the roads as I have never seen the solution being used in the UAE myself before, almost all bikes are tail mounted or hitch mounted also on the back.

Please share your knowledge on this, the bike with the car is crossing 2.8M in height.

I am not a begineer but lower than intermediate.

Sorry if this forum is more for serious cycling matters, but I have a kids' gear related question. I'm hoping their are lots of cycling kids parents here who can help!

My daughter has finally graduated from her balance bike. I feel very proud to see her kick and wind around with her feet up, but she gets excited whenever she sees a peddle bike.

She's turning 5, and is on the small side. I'm considering two Mogoo models having been unimpressed by the generic bikes under 250dhs on Amazon. My budget is really firm at 350ish.

The first is the Rayon Junior 2. It has a steel frame and caliper brakes. It weighs around 11kg.

The second is the Spark. It has a magnesium alloy frame, front caliper brakes and a rear disk brake. It weighs around 9kg and costs 50dhs more.

Any advice would be appreciated! I need to order asap to make sure it arrives Monday.

Im looking to upgrade my bike and want to to know which platform i need to check for people posting to sell their bikes, Im looking for something with good specs and also preferably good brand.

First things first, I’m a very big guy. I’m 186 cm and weigh about 130kg. I’ve been thinking about getting into biking for ages and think I’m ready to pull the trigger. I watched a ton of videos to try and learn more about cycling and then went into a Trek store that had good reviews to see if they could help me narrow my search a bit. The person I got helped by asking me some questions and then directed me towards either a city hybrid or gravel bike. I train 5 times a week in the gym with weight training and CrossFit style training. I’m looking for this to be my weekend early morning activity. My rides would initially start around probably 30 min looking to increase up to 2 hours eventually. I would love to hear from more experienced riders does this recommendation from the Trek salesperson makes sense. He also said I would need an XL frame. The bikes he offered me were 6k each. That’s about double what I’m willing to spend right now. So is it realistic for me to have a 3k budget? And where would I go to get a bike suitable for me from a reliable vendor? Update: just as an example, I found on a website called UAE cycle a gravel bike for 2300. It’s a sun speed Charon. Is this a good bike option for me? Is this a reputable vendor?

Have anyone tried it? Taxis are kind of expensive for me.

I’ve been interested in cycling recently, as I’ve been renting out bikes around AD n dubai lately. And I wanna purchase my first road bike.

Now I’m not looking to spend much on my first bike, More of a new hobby with the lovely weather and good exercise.

I saw on Amazon a couple of road bikes, and wanna hear your opinions on.

1. Spartan 700C Pelaton
2. Mogoo Rapid 700C

Title. Are you guys open to exploring other bicycle tracks or would only stick to your favourite track or roads.

I already have a commuter cruiser type bicycle which I use it for groceries and cycling too. Will getting a road bike have a huge difference? I can see one brand called Mogoo for affordable price. Models like Mogoo Xtreme, Rapid, Bolt. Or should I go for branded ones? And are they expensive to maintain as compared to a cruiser or city bicycle? Thanks.
