Children being evacuated, 1939.
Which station do we think this is? My guess is Euston.

Since the 387 was withdrawn since EL3 operations began I have made up a useful upgraded route for the 387
Major hotspots
Start > Dagenham Dock Terminus (c2c link)
Choats Manor Way
Renwick Road
Ripple Road
Lodge Avenue Roundabout (towards King George Hsp only)
Dagenham Heathway (District line link)
Becontree Heath
Chadwell Heath High Road
Little Heath
Finish > King George Hospital (healthcare link)
What do you think of this idea?

Hi! I’m going to London for the first time in a bit (from France so I rrly don’t know much about the transportation there) and I have a question about transportation.
I lend at the Luton airport, and in my research saw that the best was to get to st pancras (cuz it’s the nearest station to my hotel) is to take the DART and then the train that goes from the airport parkway.
Now my question might seem a bit silly but I can’t seem to find a clear answer online, I was wondering what is the prices difference from if I take a ticket in advance (like rn even tho I only go in about a week) or if I take one directly on the bus/train.
I know that in France prices would be much higher, is it the same there ? Or do prices stay relatively the same ?
Sorry if the question seems stupid I’m just really excited and want everything to go well

Appreciate the specificity in not just going for the standard ‘an object’

I know that tapping on a pink reader will tell the system that you avoided zone 1, but how does it work for different routes that may have different fares? For example, here are two routes you can take from South Wimbledon to Stratford: One of them is via Balham, and the other one is via Clapham North, which is about 45p cheaper. Regardless of which route is chosen, the TFL one-way fare finder will always tell you to touch the pink card reader at Whitechapel. How will the system know which route you took? Will it just assume you took the more expensive/cheaper route? Thanks in advance!

Fairs TFL, charging me for the future 2 days before.
After i spent half an hour trying to get a nearly 100 pound refund on something else, only to be told too much data over the phone to handle to email the day before. Nice way to start the weekend.
#TFL Robbing UNI students yet again

Looking at the TFL website for a trip from Gatwick to the Royal Albert DLR station I get a fare price of 13.50pounds. The trip includes the ThamesLink train. Does the quoted fare include the ThamesLink, or is that a separate ticket+fare?
If the ThamesLink is included, I assume I can buy the ticket through the TFL app? The app won't work until I am in the UK...
Thanks for any help!

With the upcoming closures what is likely to be the last bus that will be picking up on Oxford Street?

Does anyone know or have had any issues with bed bugs on the underground recently? I keep hearing about it and it freaks me the hell out, Specifically lizzie and metro line

Hi everyone, I’ve got my TfL Customer Service Assistant assessment booked soon. It covers written communication and data interpretation, including checking travel documents, using a Tube map/index and reading timetables.
Has anyone done these recently? What should I expect, and what helped you prepare? Any useful free resources or advice on timing would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I usually take two buses to work (within an hour so second bus is free) and this morning I tapped in the first as normal and on the second I held my phone up to use Apple Pay and thought I had tapped in so sat down. But I don’t think I actually tapped in so didn’t pay. when I checked my card only the first was there and not the second.
Will I get in trouble for fare evasion even thought that second bus is free anyway? What shall I do?

I’m considering raising this formally, but I’d like to hear from regular commuters and local residents first. Am I overlooking anything, particularly regarding bus operations or accessibility?

Just curious, why does the District line seem to have issues so frequently? Is there any indication of when these ongoing problems might be fully resolved? It causes so much disruption to work schedules, and the constant delays make it really difficult to rely on the District line for daily commuting.

I got fined for not having my zip card on the bus so I have to pay £100 but it says I can pay £50 before 27th this month.
How can I pay half price? Can I just send £50 and it’ll be fine or do I need to send the whole £100 and they’ll give £50 back?

Does this bus ever actually make it to Holloway Nag's Head? All buses seem to set off claiming to be going the whole distance only to terminate at Hoxton (where there are no viable alternative bus options) or Highbury and Islington (where thankfully there are other options after a short walk). I really miss the 271 which the extended 21 bus route partially replaces. If buses rarely make it to either end of the full route surely it's time to stop pretending it does and rethink the route!

So the first 2 trips occurred before 4pm but the underground was used after 4pm meaning it occurred after off peak hours, meaning that my rail card shouldn't have reduced the 10.50 daily cap between zones 1-3 by 1/3 right?
But it did so does it always apply even if you take a journey during on peak hours?
