The first single from her second album.
After 40 years, it’s good to listen to but when it was first release, I thought it was bland.

When other synthpop/new wave bands have played recently in Mexico City they’ve had limited success, but last Sunday OMD sold out an 8,000 people venue. The band themselves sounded great; Andy McCluskey’s voice was in fine form and even if Paul Humphreys’ was a bit weaker, it was an excellent show.

The setlist

Apparently they recorded an albums worth of songs but it all fell apart due to legal issues with this song (the film E.T.).

Known for his happier sounding singles, this title track explores the darker side of Howard Jones. Love it. So good.

MG = Martin Gore

The Buggles are of course famous for "Video Killed the Radio Star" but that was only one track on a great debut album, the Age of Plastic. This is another wonderful song which still sounds futuristic to me 46 years later.

Hi everybody! I'm Rhys, and I'm an Australian songwriter who writes tracks under a project name called Occasional Spectators. Earlier this year, I recorded an four-song EP with Steve Balbi, a songwriter and producer who has been a part of notable 80s/90s Aussie groups like Noiseworks and Electric Hippies. They Don't Matter, the first single from the record, was released a few weeks ago, and you can watch the lyric video for it on YouTube! Check it out! I'm massively inspired by artists like Depeche Mode, and love incorporating synths, beats and other electronic elements into my work.

Thanks!
