Went to play and got this error, I installed the update again, but nothing changed I'm still getting it. I played this morning with no issues and I had the recent update with the Halloween pass and sweet treat event, so I have no idea what happened between then and now.

After the last game update, I wanted to see if it had made any difference to parties. The short answer is No. You can still only host on the home lot and no guests attended. I overcame this by calling over all the NPC sims I could and they were able to interact with mine. It took me about 15 minutes to reach Level 10, although that didn't make any difference to the reward. One thing I did notice this time was that you could choose the type of party - mine was a Studio one - but I hope the next one is a Wedding. You have to wait a week before you can host again.

BTW the dress code was green this time and if I'd thought about it, I should have made over all the NPCs.

Henry Woods is the new addition to the Woods family! He was born yesterday at 5:30 pm.

Obviously it wouldn't be identical, but you know, having new worlds, a larger number of Sims in the family, and even special Sims, all with custom content made by a community wanting to bring a new world to life. It would be so magical to see this game become closer to The Sims 4 but without losing its essence (and obviously without giving a single cent to EA...). It would be cool, we could try, put together a team.And let's see what happens. My first idea would be to try more basic things, like importing images of paintings for us to use for decoration and see what happens, or even try dividing the Sims into more families on the lots would be really cool and creative. I might sound a little dreamy, but if we succeed, we could keep this game more alive than ever, even without EA's support.

I've read that a few of you guys are able to complete the missions with the stickers on it. So I decided to redownload the game and have it updated. But it seems that I'm not able to download it. Is anyone else having this issue? Any way to fix this or is there an updated link? Etc. Thanks guys! 🥲

This post contains a rant and I'll mention so before the rant starts.

For starters, it's incredible to see the game being offline and issues patched so quickly. Massive thanks to the person/people (?) for addressing the premium lots and hierloom box acquisition so fast. I hope you know how much you're appreciated.

Few questions about future directions:

I was wondering if it will be possible to get the limited time sim festival house templates available for players in the upcoming patches? And will we be able to get the limited time NPCs as well?

Few limited time quests require llamazoom quest completions, so is there a workaround?

Also, can we expect to be connected with other players for sticker quests and similar stuff? I know it needs common servers but I'm not sure if the game has one since it's offline now; just curious if this could be managed sometime in the future.

Rant starts here.

I was going through old posts in the sub to look for events and event items as I'd stopped playing the original game a few days ago. It seemed like too much of a cashgrab and any novelty furniture or clothing was locked behind paywalls. And OOF. THE TOXICITY was real. Specially against f2p and modded players - it was horrific.

Keep in mind a lot of us modded players had linked the game to our Google/Apple accounts and had actually spent a lot on the game. Possibly even more than these "sim gurus" who like got the items for free and got paid to promote them, who I feel were the most toxic. Yet, comments like "oh, it would be so sad if their data got deleted 😜" were rampant (yes, I'm still salty about that). Did ANY of us get reimbursed when the game got taken down? (I think we should look into petitions for the current community.) There was still pushback when the game was decidedly going down and ea continued with micro transactions regardless, only made everything available for a few weeks - because "they're doing players a favour, they didn't need to" when players were rightfully outraged.

When I held a party yesterday, nobody came! 😂 I thought I'd try again - it said I could in 3 days 3 hours, but it's still saying the same thing today. Still, my sims had fun!

Today, an heirlooms that unlocks the "Dance Instructor" career appeared in the shop, but when I try to purchase it, I get the message shown in the image and am unable to complete the transaction.

Yesterday, an heirlooms that unlocks traits was available, and I was able to purchase that one successfully. Does this mean that heirlooms for unlocking careers or hobbies cannot be purchased at the moment?

I heard there was another recent update, so I decided to download the app again to check it out.
Lo and behold, the heirlooms needed to unlock the dance instructor were available for purchase today—I tapped buy, and it actually worked!

You should all try updating the app as well!

Hey guys, not sure if I skip the tutorial too much but I currently have a quest that requires me to give stickers. I tapped the question mark button and it told me to give stickers to sims with blue plumbobs. But umm... there are no sims with blue plumbombs. I also tried doing introductions with the randomized sims around town but still nothing. Thanks for the help! 🥲🥲

I'm so happy to be back to this game and relive all those memories again. ❤️ It's true that it's not as complete as the original version and still has some issues, but only those of us who have so many memories with this game truly understand how much this version means to us.

Hello I've been trying to download the app on Android but I haven't been able to at all..

The site opens through the link given. But once I click download, it stays on the page for a while and then goes blank and says the connection timed out or that it took too long to respond..

Is there any way to get it downloaded?

• Timers used to run when the app was closed (how rude!) and refused to reboot or reset once loaded back in, which would cause a time error. This has changed to where it no longer is possible, So no need to worry about the Sims Y2K! Timer should be working now!
• We heard you about the daily tasks having an issue, so we finally got it proper! Daily tasks should be able to reset daily.
• Babies would have an inability to age as well as other people, this would cause a peter pan effect that has been reverted so you can celebrate your babies turning into toddlers, likewise, households no longer are functionally immortal and will get unstuck upon launch.
• Ergo, Birthday Parties are unlocked! Along with other themes, Fiesta time!
• Sims now can host parties from your home or once per day at the inbox! Rejoice for human interaction, sad for the introverts.
• Need more cash? Well Sim Cash is back alongside store packs! So you should be able to "buy" them properly now!
• Limited Quests were a long time feature, so we decided to bring them back, replaying from 2018 a blast to the past and starting with the spooky themes!

Non Sims 3 Patch Notes-Like Speak:

• Timers keep running while the app is closed and no longer reset or jump on a reboot, and the bogus 20,000-day, 56-year and stuck-at-24-hour timers are gone.
• Daily tasks reset every day again.
