Been drawing Sumida for every Sunday since August 9th.

"I cosplayed Shizuku Tsukishima in 2024. Since I was a high school student back then, it felt really fitting. But I didn't adjust the mask properly, so my face looks a bit puffy..."

Any japanese or anyone who knows about the Japanese school system??

お姉ちゃんが
言うには大昔は
H組まであった
らしいけど

今は一学年
ごとにDまで
しかない

What does D mean?I don't think this means there are only 4(A~D)classes,since the school is NEEDLESSLY BIG. It can also be seen from the picture that this is definitely more than just four classes, right?

D ってどういう意味？「この高校はやたら広い」んだから、クラスがA〜Dの4クラスしかないって意味じゃないと思うんだけど。絵を見ても、どう考えても4クラスだけってことはないよね？

I only showed a few, there are still plenty more. Can someone explain what this actually is?The way it appears seems like a name of somewhere.More specifically, the place where Shimeji resided, where there are buildings, trams, utility poles, and stories. The scene in the second picture is almost the same with the cover of Kaisou Toshi Danpenshuu, purely a coincidence?

The Japanese place I found online that’s most similar to this is this one:西の鯖街道（にしのさばかいどう, Nishi no Saba Kaidō） — the “Western Mackerel Route,” a historic route running from Takahama, Fukui Prefecture, through Ōi/Nata-shō, Miyama, and Keihoku toward Kyoto. But all sources consistently use the full name 西の鯖街道, not simply 西鯖.

西鯖（にしさば / nishi saba） can also mean a type/name for mackerel, specifically salt mackerel brought from the Wakasa region toward places such as Ōuda and Yoshino in Nara. Which seemed to make sense because Tsukumizu loves fish.

In shimsim, the name of the town is called 西よもぎ（ にし よ もぎ / nishi yo mogi）,Could '西鯖' be some sort of predecessor to '西よもぎ'?
