With the Toy Story collection just coming out I was able to play one of my favorite games from back in the day. I forgot how hard this game is and I’d be amazed if there’s anybody who could beat this without unlimited lives. Other than that it’s fun as hell.

Street Fighter II' Special Champion Edition for the Mega Drive has been modded to bring Kim Kaphwan from Fatal Fury into the game !

I'm working on a hobby port of Super Metroid from the SNES to the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. Here's my latest progress update, running in the BlastEm emulator.

The video covers running and shooting, new turning sprites, camera and gravity adjustments, slowdowns, and a successful wall jump near the end.

Someone suggested on my previous post Meguiar’s Plast-RX, bought a bottle and gave it a go with a microfibre cloth and it did the trick. The scratches are less visible. Thanks for the suggestion.

I was playing sonic perfectly fine, but then I turned it off and now every game won’t read. And it shows this screen. I tried cleaning the carriages but no luck. I even tried a brand new power cord.

I loved the movie as a kid and I was interested to see how the game was..any thoughts on the game. Worth the buy? Did you finish?

You would think it would be an unlockable for the morbidly curious at this point.

Does anyone know what this means?

I have only heard that this game pushes the genesis processing to its limit. The quality of gameplay is outstanding, and replaying it doesn’t make it lose appeal, but instead draws you in more🤷🏻‍♂️
I plan on hitting this with an Sega 6button Arcade stick for full effect.
Any tips or suggestions?
I’ve been on a roll finding games for my collection, but other than a handful of high dollar games, like MUSHA Moonwalker, Contra Hard Corps.
I’m not sure there is anything else I want…..maybe Subterrania, Earthworm Jim 2, X-Men 2……..😇

I feel pretty content and am grateful I was able to reclaim this much of my childhood.

My retrospective video review of all the Rambo games released. I grew up with with the early home computer and the Sega console versions. Also loved the arcades games too. However, not too fond of the later and more recent games. Most are pish. Let me know your favourite and I hope you watch and like my video too. It certainly took me flipping ages to make.

Also very fun game IMO.

I think it’s great that they’re finally reissuing the Mega SG as the original is often sold for preposterous prices on eBay. That said, I’m honestly torn on whether or not this would be worth the $220 USD for me. I currently use a pre-TMSS model 1 and a Retrotink 4K CE - a setup I’m plenty satisfied with. I’m not sure the added features and modern overhaul really excite me enough to drop the cash for it. That said, it’s a brand new device that might outlive my aging console. What do you think? Are you willing to shell out for a thoroughly modern, high end Genesis console, or is the original all you need?

RGen is a free tool that recompiles Sega Genesis / Mega Drive games into native Windows executables, so they run as real PC games rather than through an emulator. You build each game yourself from your own ROM dump. RGen doesn't include any ROMs or game files.

After my two cartridges for The Jungle Book and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist, I got this one. I’ve never played or beaten it before. My plan is to play it through with my son.

I'm excited to introduce to you... Mortal Kombat Sculptured Edition '95!

Sega Lord X once posed the question... what if Sculptured Software had developed Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis instead of Probe? And what if they had the resources they had in 1995 when they developed Mortal Kombat 3? I've spent the last two years working on answering that question and I finally have a game I can show you!

A collaborative effort, it contains all enhanced backgrounds with new parallax layers, the arcade characters with full frames of animation, all of the content from the Sega CD version, original arcade voiceovers and sounds, and for the first time ever, the original Dan Forden soundtrack rearranged on the YM2612. All of this locked in on a 32meg cart.

This is the version of Mortal Kombat you've always wanted on Sega Genesis.

It's almost ready to present a playable ROM but I thought I'd give you a video preview of how it's come along. We are very proud of it.
