TL;DR: CLICK HERE
If you suspect that there's a problem with your tree, our users may be able to provide some insight, but the only way to comprehensively assess the condition of a tree is by a qualified professional in-person. No matter where you live, the best resource you can turn to for tree related advice is a local International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist.
You can find a local ISA Certified Arborist by clicking THIS link. Enter your location to find a Certified Arborist near you. You can verify a Certified Arborist's credentials with the same link.
Ensure your trees are cared for properly and ethically by asking your landscape professionals if they have an ISA Certified Arborist on staff.

taken from panama city beach florida. most of my plants around the perimeters of my house have a browning color? Yes i know the palm tree clearly fell from the hurricane. but southern magnolias should NOT be browning like this

Hello everyone, I don’t really know if this is the right ‘tree’ subreddit but I looked through a couple and thought this one would fit. I work at a HEB in the produce department and this is right on the path from our doors to the compost bins. Honestly I don’t know how I never noticed it before and I’m excited to (hopefully) watch it grow!!!

Located in central Oklahoma, it's some kind of Maple. Looks great from her good side, but is empty otherwise. Do y'all think I need to cut it down? Thanks!

Hi, I’m in north San Antonio with about 10 Texas live oaks in my backyard. Our trees are dropping more leaves than usual this early in autumn and we’re concerned about disease plaguing them. Is anyone familiar with Live Oak ailments and able to provide advice? I will try to provide a photo of the leaves if I can figure out how to work Reddit

Does this beautiful locust need to come down? I’ve notice the bark on the bottom is flaring out.

We have 9 acres in Virginia, near Front Royal. We want to keep it wooded, but building a house will necessitate some trees coming down for the house and septic fields. Looking for recommendations on what we could do beyond just mulching the trees. We have white oak, tulip poplar, and a few walnut trees, among others. The builder can figure out how to feel the trees, but will likely just mulch them if we don't have something lined up.

I don't know where to start. I kept walking along the path and saw the green all over. What's special about it huh? Ecology. Seriously, I kept going along looking at that shit like my parents used to say. It just continues. What's so cool about it? Why do you people study this? I want to know. I need to know. All the color I see just meshes together. So, tell me you like the green?

I know that California redwoods have an impressive ability to withstand forest fires, and take advantage of them to reproduce. I’m wondering if the dawn redwood shares any of that, even faintly or historically, or if the other species seemingly evolved those adaptations entirely after the genera diverged, etc.
(Entirely hypothetical question; I’m actually just trying to worldbuild some nature spirits and these trees are really cool as points of inspiration so I got curious)
