Buying Advice- North America 'Upgrading' from Classic 350 to Classic 650

Hey everyone - USA based. I bought a Classic 350 in summer of 2022 and absolutely love the bike (Halcyon Green). I design custom wildlife and cultural itineraries to India for clients, so I visit every year and fell in love with them while I was in Kerala. I rode a 350 from Kochi to Munnar and honestly had such a blast that I planned on buying one. I always wanted one back in the US, and was thrilled when they introduced the J-series 350 in the US (although wish they offered a 500 or 650 at the time).

I bought the 350 and I absolutely love it - I put the lowride seat and faux seat springs, and it looks like a vintage bike except with modern ABS, EFI, etc. It's a really lovely little bike. My only concern has been it feeling underpowered. I live in Florida and keeping up with traffic is a 55mph+ affair if I'm on the main roads, and it definitely runs out of steam in 5th gear.

With the release of the 650, I thought the 'upgrade' would be an obvious choice. With that said, I test drove one this weekend and I have mixed feelings. The chrome/black paint is beautiful, but I feel like it lost a bit of its charm as a 650. Despite the retro paint scheme, the design of the bike looks way more modern than I had expected. It drove well (noticeably more power at 50mph), but even the lack of the single-cylinder 'thump' had me missing the character of my 350. I actually also felt the finishing wasn't as good as my 350, notably the paint quality on the tank.

Am I crazy, or is the 650 a bit underwhelming aesthetically coming from the 350? I really wanted to love the bike, but it just looks more like a Meteor than a Classic, if that makes any sense. I think I'll stick with the 350, but was curious if anyone else felt the same way.

Thanks!

Title: Honda CB350RS Rebel Red vs Royal Enfield Classic 350 Medallion Bronze — Which one should I buy?

Hey everyone!

I'm 23M , started my career in IT sector and loved bikes from childhood, now has the opportunity to buy one

I'm planning to buy my first bike and have shortlisted two options:

Honda CB350RS — Rebel Red

Royal Enfield Classic 350 — Medallion Bronze

My budget is around ₹2.5 lakh on-road, and I'll mainly use the bike for office commuting and occasional rides, not frequent long-distance touring.

Here's what matters to me:

Looks: Both bikes appeal to me equally but my family is inclined towards classic

Performance: I want an engine with enough power and feel for everyday riding like everyone says Honda engine is smooth but when i ride i feel.the difference but it doesn't matter like the most to me.

Mileage: Decent real-world fuel efficiency would be great.

Comfort: It should be comfortable in city traffic and on bad roads.

Reliability and maintenance: I want to keep the bike for several years without unnecessary headaches.

Service network: Royal Enfield has a much more convenient service network near me than Honda BigWing. Honda is also not too far but like there is only one Honda showroom near me and 3 Enfield.

I'd love to hear from current owners, especially those who have owned or ridden both.

A few questions:

Which is better for daily city commuting?

How do their real-world mileage and maintenance costs compare?

Is Honda's limited BigWing service network a genuine concern in the long run?

Which has better ride comfort, refinement and handling?

If you were spending your own money, which would you choose and why?

Please share your honest ownership experiences, including the drawbacks of each bike. I'm looking for practical advice, not just brand loyalty.

In the end I want to say that I find both bikes similar and also tell me which looks bigger and bulkier between the two .

My all family members are inclined towards classic and I also like it from childhood but it is very common nowadays that the only concern with it and it will not be a head turner. And also one more thing I have noticed that Honda bikes age really fast in terms of body , not in engine . Like they look old very fast . So if you have it please tell .

Thanks! 🏍️

Mods and Accessories Interceptor custom

Post image

Is it possible to fall in love with a motorcycle over and over again??
This Interceptor seems to prove that theory, being my commuter and 2nd motorcycle, it doesn’t get used for anything more than commute. But the rare occasion I decide to swap saddles and take this one out for a ride, I come back with a bigger smile and a larger space for it in my heart.
There’s just something magical about this 650 twin, the old world charm, the beautiful character it has, that throaty exhaust and simplicity that Royal Enfield finally got right in 2018.
My Interceptor custom holds a very special place in my heart for two reasons
- my first DIY custom build
- the best Royal Enfield I have owned till date

Buying Advice- India and Asia Need some advice about buying second Bullet/Classic 350

Well for starters this is going to be my(18m) first bike, which is why I am going for an second, so even if I crash or else the emotional damage wouldn't be that much.

Now the real question is should I get it from RE Re:own or from my local dealer because:

Re-own gives a sense of relief that everything is good as new but there is no classic or bullet on sale where I live

Local dealer gives a better price and has classic and bullet but idk how to know if the bike has any problems.

So what should I see before buying a bike apart from chassis alignment and other accident damage?

Warranty and service

Hey

A lot of bike theft occurs in my area. So I'm planning to set up a GPS on a bike. Does that affect any of my warranty or any service-related issues? CLASSIC 350 2025.

Mechanical Assistance RE Classic 350 (BS-4, 2018) front brake issue

So my bike's front brake randomly started going till the handle when I used it so I thought the brake fluid/oil must be over but I had only refilled it last year so when I showed it to my regular garage guy who repairs RE's he said that the "brake pump" is damaged and have to change the whole lever which comes around approx ₹2k but in the market I saw that only the brake pump can also be replaced which will cost me less so what should I do ? Should I listen to him and change the brake lever as a whole or just change the "brake pump" from another garage

exhaust for GT 650 in India?

Post image

Looking for the loudest exhaust with the deepest bass for my GT 650. I want that aggressive, thumping twin-cylinder sound, not a raspy or high-pitched note.
What’s the loudest setup available in India? Brand, price, and sound clips appreciated. Not looking for anything subtle

Finally bought GT650, tips and advice

I finally bought the GT after 2 years of posting here. This is my second bike after hornet 2.0 but I’ve ridden bikes like ktm200 cb350 himalayan interceptor and im pretty good at handling its weight despite being a bit short and skinny. I would love to know all the things I need to keep in mind while riding and any advice and tips are much appreciated. I’m thinking of buying a lazer or kyte helmet. A thing thats bothering me though is that the engine light is on for reason. Filled the tank upto 10litres since the showroom guy told not full tank her to avoid airlock. He also said something about riding it between 40-60kmph till first service which I obviously ignored and went upto 80 while keeping it under 4k rpm. Thinking of getting rrs after a few months. Was told by a friend to get aftermarket crash guard. So, please do help me put :)

Mechanical Assistance Meteor 350 Starting issue

This issue occurs intermittently. What might be the underlying cause of this issue?

Everything will work fine, and this will happen all of a sudden and will go away as well. The first time this happened was at a traffic signal while I was riding back home.It happens while riding when you turn the bike off or when it's parked, and when you try to restart the bike, this can happen. It's not happening every time, but now it's happening every now and then.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 (2020) — Original Alloys, Tubeless Tyres and Tyre Upsizing

Hi everyone!

I own a 2020 Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 (346cc UCE) and currently have the stock spoke wheels with tube-type tyres.

Current setup:

Front tyre: 90/90-19 M/C 52P (CEAT Zoom Plus)

Rear tyre: 110/90-18 M/C 61P (CEAT Zoom Plus)

Front wheel: 19 inches

Rear wheel: 18 inches

I ride mostly in Hyderabad, where potholes and broken roads are common. I'm looking to switch to alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.

I have a few questions:

Where in Hyderabad can I get genuine Royal Enfield alloy wheels compatible with my 2020 Classic 350 BS6?

Are the original RE alloys suitable for tubeless tyres, and are they still available for this model?

Can I increase my tyre sizes without modifying the bike? If yes, what are the maximum front and rear tyre sizes I can safely use with the stock wheel dimensions?

Which tubeless tyres would you recommend for Indian roads with frequent potholes and occasional highway rides?

I'd appreciate recommendations from anyone who has made this conversion, especially Classic 350 owners in Hyderabad.

Thanks!

I was extremely confused and worried about which and what bike, specifications, this and that. Finally brought her home a month ago and first service was within 2 weeks. What a machine🥵❤️

Just a quick question.

Does changing the stock halogen headlights with LED cause any warranty or insurance issues?

I’ve been using this standard 350 (self start) since 2021 with all the company stock. Recently Iam in love with the old standard handlebar which is a little low and has a small bend. Can someone suggest if it will turn out good and will it affect my riding comfort in any manner. Ty✨
