Mower recommendations
Hello! I’m wondering what people recommend for a 10,000-square-foot lawn. I have a Ryobi push mower that came with the house, and it takes 4–5 batteries to mow the entire property. It’s a regular push mower, and man, it sucks!
I also bought an old riding lawn mower, but it only lasted a few months before it blew up. At this point, I just want to buy something that will last me a while and make mowing a lot easier.
I don’t care what type of mower have a shed so can keep almost anything within reason. Just want to see what people recommend
Lawn has some pitches and very small hills. It’s fescue grass.

Dreame A3 Pro in cold temperatures: what to do?
I have a Dreame A3 Pro with all-wheel drive, and temperatures here in Michigan are dropping into the low 40s°F, with upper 30s expected soon. We probably still have another three to four weeks of mowing left.
Is it okay to keep using the mower in these temperatures? Are there any precautions I should take to protect the mower and battery, or a temperature at which I should stop using it and bring it indoors?

Toro Haven to be unveiled at Equip Expo?
Maybe Toro will actually ship a mower this year? How many years have they promised this? The latest one is called the AM75 I believe. To be seen at Equip Expo at the end of the month.

RoboBoster Panther mower shipping
After missing the first container ship to the US, my Panther mower is now reportedly on a second ship, the Seaspan Harmony 087E due to arrive in port around the end of this month.
From there it's headed to Tacoma via FedEx, then awaiting a ship to Anchorage.
If I'm not mistaken, the other US Kickstarter backers had mowers on an earlier ship that was due to arrive in the US around today?

Would you let an AWD mower cross roots like these?
I'm looking at AWD mowers because one part of our garden slopes down towards the lawn edge, where the soil gets quite soft. We've also got two mature trees with roots sticking out of the grass. The bigger ones are easy enough to leave outside the mowing area, but some of the lower roots run right across the lawn. I'm not sure how an AWD mower would deal with those. More grip sounds useful on the slope, but could it also mean the mower keeps pushing forward when the cutting disc gets too close to a root? Would you let yours go over them or just mark that part as a no go area?

Thinking of putting an FPV System on a non autonomous mower
Has anyone done anything like this? I'm weary of fully autonomous mowers where I live plus I think it's fun controlling the mower.
I build fpv drones as a hobby and I want to get an rc mower. Then it popped in my head I can add a drone fpv camera and operate it from the mower's POV.
So can anyone recommend a good rc mower without autonomous capabilities? Just a plain RC mower?

Worx Landroid 1/4 acre Cloud Vision needs at least 3 - 5 charges to cut my .24 acre property (even less without the footprint of the house)- would upgrading to the 1/2 acre one make a huge difference?
I bought the 1/4 acre version because my property (including the house footprint) is .24 acre, so when I remove the house footprint I figured that would be plenty.
I’ve got it set to do parallel lines.
But it can only do 1/2 - 1 section at a time before it needs a recharge.
It’s a bit frustrating. What’s the point of the 1/4 acre mower if the battery can’t handle 1/4 acre lot?
Would the bigger one fix this issue?
This is my yard, I can do almost 1 section before the battery dies.

Pickles 🥒 was confused by this robot mower
This is the 1st time we've encountered one on a walk. She was definitely on alert, but wagging her tail, at least.

New beta firmware for the Worx Landroid vision! Should be available soon for retail release.
Fix the bug where edge-following and parallel cutting leave uncut areas.

Title: Goalker H3 Pro – Multiple navigation issues, missed mowing areas and random STOP alarms.
Anyone else?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for feedback from other Goalker H3 Pro owners. I’ve been experiencing several problems with my mower, and I’m wondering whether these are common issues or whether my particular machine might be defective.
My mower is currently running firmware version 65.
1. Poor edge mowing
One of the main reasons I purchased the H3 Pro was its advertised ability to mow very close to lawn edges.
Unfortunately, the mower regularly leaves strips of approximately 5–15 cm of uncut grass along straight edges, even where the lawn borders paving stones.
Sometimes it follows the boundary correctly, but then suddenly turns away from the edge, makes an unnecessary loop and returns to the boundary, leaving patches of grass behind.
I have carefully remapped the lawn several times, without resolving this issue.
2. Irregular navigation and mowing patterns
Instead of following consistent, efficient mowing lines, the mower sometimes makes strange turns and takes unnecessary routes across the lawn.
It occasionally appears to lose track of its mowing pattern, even when the app indicates that the satellite/RTK connection is good.
3. Incomplete mowing
The mower sometimes reports that a mowing session is completed even though visible areas of grass remain uncut.
On other occasions, it stops before completing the scheduled area.
4. Unexpected stops and errors
Sometimes the mower simply stops in the middle of the lawn while the app still shows its status as “Working”.
Occasionally, it resumes after one or two minutes, but not always.
I have also experienced errors that the app describes as unresolvable.
5. Random beeping while charging
Recently, the mower started making repeated beeping sounds, almost like Morse code, while standing in its charging station.
Nobody had touched the mower, and I had to switch it off to stop the beeping. This happened on two consecutive days.
Goalker Support checked the device logs and informed me that the STOP button was being continuously triggered.
They suggested checking whether the STOP button was physically stuck and pressing START + OK simultaneously to exit STOP mode.
However, the beeping started spontaneously without anyone touching the machine, so I’m concerned about a possible intermittent button or electronic fault.
6. Support investigation
Goalker Support has confirmed that their technical team is investigating my earlier issues, but I haven’t received a solution yet.
I’ve already spent considerable time adjusting settings and remapping the lawn, and I don’t think repeatedly remapping it is a reasonable long-term solution.
My questions to other owners:
Are you experiencing similar navigation or edge-mowing problems?
Has firmware version 65 improved or worsened your mower’s performance?
Has anyone experienced random STOP alarms while the mower is charging?
Have you found any reliable solutions?
Has anyone received a replacement machine or successfully resolved these problems through Goalker Support?
I really like the concept of this mower, especially its offset cutting deck, but at the moment its performance is inconsistent and disappointing.
I’d appreciate hearing about your experiences, both positive and negative.
Thanks in advance!

Fall leaves
Hey all. I have the Segway Navimow and was curious what happens in fall when leaves start to scatter on the ground. I feel like my mower will go around them thinking it's an obstruction.
Hope that's not the case.

How to map the edge like this
I got my navimow i210 lidar yesterday. Want to finish first setup today but don't know how to map my yard.
Will it manage to mow along the edge or risk falling off? Should I leave like 1-2 feet away from the edge and trimming the rest mannually? (consider this as my last option)
Need some advice. Thank you!

Anyone using Home Assistant to get their Navimow back before sudden rain?
I live in Georgia and one problem I've been having is sudden rain here. The weather forecast doesn't seem reliable for this. Sometimes everything looks fine and then a storm just rolls in so quickly that my Navimow X450 hasn't even made it back to the station before the rain starts.
This is why I want to handle this through Home Assistant instead of the mower's own weather feature.
But I have zero experience with HA. I know Navimow now has a HA integration, and I think I've seen people using personal weather stations or outdoor sensors to control their mowers.
What I want to achieve:
- Detect rain locally before/when it starts → send Navimow back to the station
- Keep it docked after the rain
- Once the lawn is actually dry enough → let it start mowing again
Has anyone here done something similar? I think the most difficult part is how to integrate outdoor sensor data with HA to control the mower. And what sensors are people using out there?
Really appreciate any examples of how you set up automation.

Getting stuck
My Luba 3 is getting stuck in this same spot every run. It’s not the steepest part of the yard, and it’s not under any trees more than other spots. It’s not sticks etc as it’s always the same spot and the mower is often at different angles so it’s not having its bumper knocked and stopping… Any help?

Automower supporting multiple unconnected zones
Hello,
can you please suggest an automower without perimeter wire supporting multiple separate (unconnected) zones?
The idea is to physically move the automower to a second lawn area and then move back to base station once done.

Cutting height for zoysia lawn in GA
Hi all,
Deciding on a mower and not sure what cutting height I need to keep my zoysia at a good height. On my traditional mower I generally keep it low but not "golf course" low, generally around an inch. Anyone with experience with zoysia? How low a height should I be looking for on the low end?
Thanks in advance

PNW challenges
I have a 1400sqft backyard and a similar size front yard. I live in the Pacific Northwest. It is very green, the yard is bounded with fence, one side of the house, a shed, lots of trees and bushes. There is a swing set in the yard.
I picked up the Sunseeker S4 from Costco. AI advised that lidar based units were preferable since the unit has to navigate below bushes and tree cover. This was a complete fail, most of the time the unit leaves the dock, turns around 180 degrees and declares a navigation failure. I tried three different dock locations. There are other problems, the wifi connectivity is weak and the unit does not work on "rainy days". It didn't say what a rainy day was, it was sunny at the time. This is the weather we have, it often rains at some point during the day but rarely the whole day. This morning it was foggy ... I turned on rain mode, but then it probably will try and operate in heavy rain and fail.
When it works, it does great navigating the yard and getting to most of it. I have slightly raised concrete pads and some uneven ground it seemed fine.
I'd be happy to run a wire it's not a big yard ... whatever it is, it does need to run unattended that is the whole point

I did a stupid
So I forgot I had signed up for a lawn aeration service and I have an automower with a boundary wire.
The aeration really did a number on the boundary wire. At this point I tracked down 5 (really 7 but some of them were very close to each other) breaks in the boundary wire and I have 2 more approximately identified. That only gets me about halfway around the yard, and I haven't even started to trace the two guide cables that aren't the outer boundary.
Is it even worth trying to patch the boundary wire at this point, or should I just hang my head in shame and re-run the entire thing? I've patched the wire twice before.
