DISCUSSION Hmm
Walked in behind this lady. Customer service commented how cute the dog was. She was served at the deli counter while management walked by smiling. Is this allowed by Publix?

Only $.50 per slice
This is the healthiest option for bread in Publix along with its two siblings. All the bread in Publix label Street like a science experiment. Complete garbage
This bread is over five dollars per half loaf and there are roughly 10 or 11 slices per loaf.

And your opening or mid shift is ending so you can’t stay longer/talk with cash office to see why it’s short
(Turns out you ended up forgetting to count a book)

Throughly disappointed in the direction Publix Pharmacy has been going since we got the new VP, Katie Scanlon. I was hopeful and excited because she was promoted from within the company. Since Katie has taken over, she has clearly increased the pressure and demands on Pharm Ops and district supervisors which is most apparent in how it trickles down to staff in the stores. Dane embodied Mr. George and you could feel it with the positive changes that occurred under Dane. He truly cared about the pharmacy staff. Publix has amazing pharmacists and Katie Scanlon is doing a great job of running them off. I won’t be surprised when she runs off some of the district supervisors as well.
Katie, I think you have disconnected from Publix and the amazing employees that make up this company which I’m sure is easy to do when you’re sitting at a desk reading emails, papers, crunching numbers, and making public appearances. You should re-read Mr. George’s pamphlet. I still believe in you and haven’t given up on you yet.
Also, why is Whit Taylor not fired? Publix has fired Pharmacists for FAR LESS. Why are we expendable and he is not? Someone abusing their position of power is NOT someone who deserves to hold a leadership position especially at Publix of all places. At the very least, he should be demoted or is this what Publix Pharmacy has become? I know Publix will see this post eventually and time will prove if the right decision was made. As long as he holds his position, I will not have faith or trust in my company. We will be watching intently until then.

So I’m 17 and and my first week of work I only got 3.75 hours kinda shitty considering the cs manager told me he’d put on for full because I graduated early I would even take 15 hours considering I have another job but what really bugs me is that he said I would make 16 dollars an hour but just straight lied in my face when I check my stub from training

Yeah as the title depicts I need to know if a store charge can be refunded. Apparently one mightve not been necessary for an activity we did despite the email stating store charge in it's name. CS question

These hours they give for the truck stocking role is laughable. myself (agm) and gm have to come in and throw the trucks throughout the majority of our shifts or else we risk getting behind. My gtls and team all work hard so it’s not a lack of productivity. And on top of it all the expectations they expect from a skeleton crew. Just exhausted honestly no matter how hard I work or do it never feels like it’s good enough.

Hello I have recently just applied to a local public that is set to open within the next 3 months. I applied for be a Meat Cutter/Butcher instead of a trainee because I have 7+ years of experience. How long do applications for my position usually take for a response? And is there any advice for someone like me looking to secure a position such as this? Any advice is welcome.

Hey yall-
With Halloween soon arriving and with the new schedule released so we all see who’s working on Halloween and when, I’d be very curious to know if anyone has any funny Halloween drama/stories over the years. Whether it relates to the costume policy, customers, etc.
Feel like we could get some really entertaining stories here.

This will probably be my last post in this publix Reddit, will miss this group far more than the job I had for 2.5 years. It’s been real. O and my DM spoke with me this morning and said my future was really bright at Publix and could have seen me go really far in the company. HUGE YAWN 0 Fcks given. They thought I was bluffing because I’m the contender, still had me of the schedule. Her face was priceless. Something I’ll never forget. ✌️

no shade no tea, but just outta curiosity, if somebody is scheduled a 10 hour shift and went home after working for 6-8 hours due to being sick (running to the bathroom throwing up and trying to go back to work)
and/ or has the flu/ covid and sent a picture of the positive test,
does your manager have the “right” to put that in as a call out?
because i know you can only get so many in a 6 months period. but this is starting to kill me.
also if you have PTO, and you put it in for a specific day 2+ weeks ahead of the date, why would a manager deny the PTO?

Any recommendations for work gloves? I have dermatitis on my hands and don’t want to constantly keep using vinyl gloves. I work in produce if that helps. Thanks!

Hey guys just to get to the point…
Im officially opening CO by myself for the first time in a couple hours and i really want a run through of what to do.(mainly just to reassure i dont mess anything up i get nervous easily)
my biggest problem has been how to loan out tills and basically do everything on the computer.
I would really appreciate a step by step especially since this month has been hectic. i also want to make sure im opening the coin machine right?
just to add yes i did receive training but i lost my notes and usually my way of learning something new is studying! (i know how to open the safe!)
