🔥Summer is nice, but nights like this are something special ❄️
Something about watching snow fall under the streetlights makes it magical,

🔥 A wild night for slugs 🔥
I know what is most likely going on in this situation but if someone who’s not a slug expert but to walk up on this situation was very concerning but also intriguing, like for one y’all are dangling suspended from like a mucus web and then for two that’s just unsettling to see those little translucent appendages just come out out of nowhere. Nature is so full of surprises.

🔥 The crow and magpie duo i posted about in spring are still seen together, yet again preffering the company of the other rather than their ovn species
In spring and in summer i managed to get a picture of a Eurasian magpie and a hooded crow that were seen hanging out together. Now in autumn, when i returned home and visited grandma, i was able to see the duo again. They fly together, roost in the same tree, and even if they happen to be with their own species, they preffer to follow the other rather than members of their own species. A theory is that they are actualy a couple, as they stuck together even during the mating season, which is quite interesting to see

🔥It’s a rough-skinned newt, native to the US West Coast. They have a distinctive eye placement on their head, and that orange/yellow underside is warning coloration for the neurotoxin in their skin — the only animal that can survive eating one of these is a certain garter snake (by@taigawild_)

The ocean was super clear and still so we could see the seafloor easily. Of course we put him back after this.
