Question Why is it a must to clear your leave?

• Upvotes

Why do some units desperately want you to clear your leave? It will literally just be gone when the year ends anyway so why make it a big deal? Will I get charged and go DB if I don’t clear it?

Question Can regulars can charge you for doing funny?

Ok let's say a security trooper do something funny like dancing in the guardroom then got caught on camera by anyone like OC, or PWO or anyone, can they give you last warning not to do it again if got caught first time? And secondly is would you get charged if caught for the second time? And why doing something funny like dancing in a guardroom can get charged? Is it because of affecting the security operations?

Serious Discussion Need advice on anger management and dealing with people who keep making fun of me

Hi guys, need some advice here.

I have an anger management issue, especially when people joke about my flaws or insecurities. Sometimes I get triggered quite easily and end up reacting emotionally in front of my peers.

Recently, after I reacted badly in front of them, they started spreading rumours about how I reacted and making fun of me. Some of them even smirk at me and call me “autistic” or “idiot”. They seem to find my reactions damn funny, but honestly, it makes me feel quite embarrassed and disrespected.

At the same time, I find it hard to stay calm when people keep poking fun at my flaws, especially when they do it in front of others.

For context, I'm looking for advice on how to handle this kind of situation, especially in NS environment where you still have to see these people regularly.

How do you guys deal with people who try to provoke you or make fun of you without losing your temper?

Would appreciate any advice from those who have gone through something similar. Thanks guys.

Question Does 11B cover replacement medication if accidentally damaged?

Hi, NSF here. I was prescribed 3 bottles nasal spray at a public hospital like just 10 days ago.ever since i started using it, it's been life changing bro 😭 i can finally breathe in 4k lmao.

Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped one bottle and it cracked. I still have the other 2 bottles, but I'm worried about running out before my next appointment which is next year.i'm still serving NS next year and won't be ORDing anytime soon, so i'm wondering if 11B covers a replacement or if i'll have to pay out of pocket.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Will the hospital issue a replacement covered by 11B or will I have to pay out of pocket?.

Also, does anyone know if polyclinics carry Dymista?

Question need advice on what to do

So recently my coymates have been talking shit about me behind my back and then i confronted one of them just for him to only not be happy and only for him to go tell the rest of the coy, i have receipts of them talking shit about me along with the commander condoning it and even joining in and belittling me and ridiculing me, all talk so much in the chat behind my back but when confronted, nothing to say. Just curious what i can do about this as imagine if this was someone else but someone even more emotionally unstable, gonna be the nsf from tekong all over again? will they even be able to face the consequences and take responsibility for their actions if another case like that occurred?

🏥 Medical Query regarding SCC appointment

  1. Hi all, I received a referral to SCC from my MO recently, but I am not sure what to do after that. Am I supposed to wait till I receive an appointment date, or am I supposed to just walk in to SCC with the referral letter?

  2. And also, I feel like my mental health has only been getting worst, so idk if SCC would be enough and feel that going PCC to receive official diagnosis from psychiatrists would be better. Can I ask SCC to refer me to PCC, or must I revisit my MO and ask for referral again to PCC instead?

Thanks!

Serious Discussion Plan to sign on DIS (DISE) at 28 after ORD.

Hi guys,

Any tips for signing on DIS (DISE / MIE)? Wondering if too late.

Its been 2 yrs since my ORD. Doing cyber-related at work at the moment. I have been thinking of signing on DIS in MDES scheme.

Note:

I must go BMT @ Tekong and I'm 28, not too old but not young also. Idk if I can take the rigor due to my age.

Question Is it true you get backpay & get auto-rankup after reBMT?

ORD in July 2027 and superior wants me to rebmt at Sch V in Jan 2027. If I finish recourse do I rank up to CPL straight away or smth? And I heard you get backpay for the money you would of gotten as LCP/CPL, is that true?

Also any idea why I never get called back for reBMT and superior had to arrange for me? I'm p-tagged is that why? My reBMT is not confirmed so I'm curious.

Question Just recently went to a polyclinic for my dental work

So I was checking my teeth through Khatib Polyclinic and was told to bring my 11B to check in. However, upon reaching the registration, I presented by 11B only to be told to give my IC instead. Later, I was charged the bill directly and checked online which told me to present my 11B at the time of registration so that the bill will be sent to the government. So I am rather confused as to why this happened.

Question Is it easier to up PES or down PES in SAF?

Hi guys, just curious about how the PES system works in SAF.

From your experience, is it generally easier to up PES or down PES?

I’m interested to hear from people who have gone through either process. How difficult was it, how long did it take, and what factors influenced the outcome?

Would appreciate any personal experiences or advice. Thanks.

Rant The worst part of my NS life

Dude I hear everybody here talking about all their frustrations during NS which are legit concerns, but the worst part of doing NS for me was how I kept on getting sick, in my 5.5 months of BMT I came down with a high fever 4 times ( pretty sure it was the same Tekong flu all 4 times ), 1st time I caught that bitch was before 1st block leave they give you in BMT, got home and I was literally constantly coughing up and leaking green mucous for 4 fucking days which eventually turned brown , I was sleeping on the floor with the AC on cause of my high fever, then during a Friday night I had to pull up to the AnE with my mum cause my fever was staying above 39*C, this was just the first, the other 3 high fevers in BMT were also bad but it got better cause my immunity got built up, got sick once again in vocational training and 3 times in unit.

For me the worst part of NS was how many times I got fucking sick, btw I usually only get sick once a year around there, somebody should research this I truly believe that Tekong has its own unique strain of flu, too many people get sick.

I’m writing this cause I got sick again.
