In JJK Ch. 149: "After all, Cursed Techniques treat identical twins as one individual." After the death of Mai, we see Maki get a huge power up, being comparable to a special grade sorcerer. The power that was split in two was now assigned to just one. Unlike Maki/Mai, who were not that strong, Maru seems to be really powerful, already being at the level of a grade 1 sorcerer, maybe even higher. Cross is most likely as strong. Even if Cross doesn't die here, the point still stands. If one of the twins die, the other would definitly be one of the strongest characters maybe even the strongest, surpassing the likes of Gojo, Sukuna and Dabura.

I could imagine that Maru starts rampaging and killing Dabura, the peace-keeping force for the Sumarians. Then the story could develope into a war between the 2 species. Otherwise I don't see it happening because Dabura is vehemently trying to avoid that.

Yes, I know how to read and i know Jogo is crying because Sukuna is acknowledging his strength.

But think about it: Simurians so far are unique for 3 things: weird number of eyes, only crying when being born or dying, and possibly worshipping cursed spirits.

Then we have Jogo, a cursed spirit with a weird number of eyes and notably cried when he died. Not just that, both he and Sukuna seem to be confused about it. It really feels intentional to me but I haven't seen anyone talking about it.

In this chapter, Dura and Dabura gave me a Gojo and Geto vibes.
