So my girlfriend has been binging Louis Theroux documentaries recently, and we've just watched the Dangerous Pets/Tiger one, the one about the Autistic children/young adults, and the Westboro Baptist Church.

My burning question is- if we locked all the subjects of these documentaries together in an arena, who would come out on top?

The tigers/chimps? The autistic kids? Or the Westboro Baptist Church members?

My money was initially on the tigers, but those chimps seem pretty strong too. Some of those autistic kids were real slammers too. The WBC members might have an edge if allowed to bring their riding mowers, since they all seem to have one. Tough call!

I know it’s a month old but didn’t see it posted here , mods can removed if not allowed, it’s 1.5 hours and lots of footage I haven’t seen before anyway. Very preachy.

Recently, I've started watching old Louis Theroux documentaries on the ONLY HUMAN YouTube channel. I noticed they're from the BBC. I'm American, so I didn't know about them when they originally aired.

Are these legal, meaning they're not in violation of copyright? I thought the BBC, Louis, or the production company would be the only ones allowed to put these on their official YT accounts.

Air Date: May 12th, 1999

Description: Louis explores the world of television informercials and tries his luck becoming a presenter on Florida's Home Shopping Network.

What are everyone's thoughts on S2:E1 "Infomercials"?

I know he recently partnered with Netflix for a few documentaries. The manosphere one was fantastic!
Does anyone know of what he’s working on/has coming out next?

So, entirely unsurprisingly, when Louis invested 500 quid following that guy's directions, the money slowly disappeared. This obviously must happen to a lot of people, so how come all the comments on every video or stream they post aren't filled with people complaining about being screwed over?

I swear to god, this man. Him saying, "Nice." And then repeating the chorus "We be on that fuck shit too", in his perfect, dry, British documentarian way, back to a rapper after hearing his mediocre track absolutely sent me. I've replayed this scene thrice now. Louis is so goddamn funny sometimes.

(Scene is from the BBC limited series, "Louis Theroux: Forbidden America". S1 Ep2: Rap's New Frontline)

Seems that Stirling guy is the weirdest one of the Manospehere pack. He’s been accused of Neo Nazi association and for a alpha male I’m not sure why he’s selling or sold gay content on only fans. He even added his Amazon wishlist in his only fans bio 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Louis where are you!!??

What are your thoughts on this documentary?

Holy molly! I didn’t realise how deranged these people were. “Land promised to us by God” — from an ancient book. Really opened my eyes to what these extremists are really like.

One of the twins from louis’ nazi documentary got a tattoo of her racist mother. Funny how they said back in 2020 they are very liberal.

One day at a time, fella. One day at a time.

I'm in Canada and specifically I'd like to watch the Chelsea Manning one. I downloaded britbox (could only dl the Canada version) and it's not on there. Then I downloaded BBC Select on amazon prime and still can't find it. Is it just not available in NA?

Some of you might be interested in this. It's about the lawsuit C5 is currently in.

I've just finished both the "got to get Theroux this" and Theroux the Keyhole...

I really enjoyed them both and listened to both twice.

Both books are great. I liked all the historical background to his documentaries in "got to" and especially loved all the Family interactions in "keyhole" his kids embarrisment of their dad racked, cracked me up many times.

I absolutely loved both books.

Has anyone read the first book?

I'm reticent of using an Audible credit.on a short book but i.may well get it as the other two were so enjoyable to listen to..

I hope he brings out a follow up of the years past covid...

Its odd how everyone was predicting civid woukd be with us for decades/ever... but no one even mentions it these days and masks are a memory

That part was hilarious.

Love the fact it was over two hours, great stuff throughout.

Edit: And the accents! fo'getaboutit 🤌

Edit²: This is the Channel 5 interview with Louis Theroux, I watched it on YouTube.

I watched the first episode about on heroin a long time ago but not the other two. I can't even find a place to buy it as its all unavailable in my region, and I couldn't get a VPN to work.

Anyone from the US know where to find it? (Not asking for links)

Theroux is planning a documentary on the Fox TV alien autopsy hoax and one of the people involved doesn’t want the footage used. Here’s a recent lawsuit.

He was facing jail for 10 years. Had failed boot camp twice - talking about not liking life. Was raised by his mother who worked in a post office.

He wasn’t attending school classes he was in confinement in adult prison, rather than a juvenile facility because he needed to “bring it up to the administration” if he wanted to be moved.

He reminds me so much of the boys I worked with. His mannerisms and “I don’t know” answers made me think of FASD or intellectual disability. Clearly had no advocate in the system.

I’m wondering if there were any updates on him.
