Hey everyone!
I’m from South Korea, where LDPushing is still a pretty niche thing.
I mainly use my boards for daily commuting, so I’m all about the push life!
I ordered this Pranayama from the Pantheon website last week, and it arrived in about a week. Took it out for its first ride today!
I spent quite a bit of time debating between the Light and Heavy Flex options. Jeff was super helpful with his advice and guidance, which made the decision much easier. Huge thanks to him for being so helpful, and also to Pantheon for the fast, hassle-free shipping!
I was a little nervous about ordering from overseas, and the shipping wasn’t cheap, but I’m really happy with how everything turned out. Totally worth it!
My rider profile
Weight: 80 kg / 176 lbs
Daily commute: 20 km round trip
Riding style: Regular-footed, push-only. I really don’t enjoy pumping.
At 80 kg, I’m right around the transition point between the recommended ranges for Light and Heavy Flex, so I had a tough time deciding. After chatting with Jeff, I went with the Heavy Flex.
Complete setup
Deck: Pantheon Pranayama Patanjali (Heavy Flex)
Wheels: Pantheon 92mm 74a Karma
Trucks: Pantheon Stylus 149mm TKP
Bushings: Riptide APS Canon/Canon Plug 90A Yellow (front and rear)
The setup feels a bit on the hefty side, but I’m really happy with the flex. And those Karma wheels are so much fun!
I do miss the classic, retro wood-grain look of the older finish. The new fiberglass finish has a pretty different aesthetic, but it feels like a big step up in durability. As always, the overall fit and finish are excellent.
Before this, my daily commuter was a Loaded x Pantheon Trip. I tuned it with 77mm Seismic Speed Vents and Paris V2 150mm RKP trucks (50° front / 43° rear).
Interestingly, the standing height feels pretty similar between the Trip and the new Pranayama. So I didn’t get that huge “wow, this thing is LOW!” moment I was expecting.
But the stability from those 92mm wheels? Absolutely fantastic. They just seem to erase all the bumps and rough patches in the uneven pavement on my commute. I’m loving it so far!
I got into skateboarding relatively late, and somehow I’ve ended up with eight boards in just over a year.
Every day brings something new to enjoy, and I’m having a blast.
The weather here in Korea is starting to get chilly, which honestly makes it perfect riding weather.
Hope you’re all having a great day, and happy pushing!
