IF YOU ARE A CANDIDATE and would like us to host an AMA, you must provide PROOF of ID (proof of identification tells our community you’re actually you— and not someone else pretending to be you!). Please [ contact the mods ] of this sub to have us set up an AMA thread for you. Please read our AMA requirements, how-to, etc → [ HERE ]
AMAs are a core part of Reddit culture. They are in essence, text-based Q-&-A interviews from the London, Ontario reddit community. The appeal of AMAs is it gives London, ON redditors the opportunity to interact with candidates in their municipality (of whom we might not otherwise have a chance to meet in person). In addition, there is an expectation of candour and substance in AMA exchanges.
.
CANDIDATE MEET-&-GREET Q & A, DEBATES, etc
Candidate "meet & greets," debates, & other meetings are usually organized by local community groups or business associations.
The Urban League of London in collaboration with RogersTV will be hosting all candidate meetings for each of the city’s 14 wards to help keep Londoners informed. Meetings will take place between Sept. 9 and Oct. 1.
Below are the video links for each debate:

Couldn’t cross-post from r/Ontario and didn’t see anything here in a quick review. Anyone within SJHC able to confirm or deny this information?

I have been dealing with anxiety and depression for the past few years. Almost a year and a half ago, I was in a bad car accident. I have been struggling both mentally and physically since the accident. My mental health has gotten worse, and I’m now dealing with PTSD, chronic migraines, neck and shoulder pain, shoulder impingement, and back pain. Since the accident, I stopped working completely and I tried to go back to school but I couldn’t do it.
I feel like my friends and family don’t understand the severity of what I’m going through and as a result, I have been isolating.
Does anyone know of any programs or support groups for mental health that I can go to? I think it would be really helpful to be with people who share my experiences and understand what I’m going through. It’s been very difficult to go through this alone. I don’t have anyone to talk to or share what's happening.

This is east London area.
Pick up at our garbage spot for our condo was skipped by the garbage bin. My mother was watching with my 2 year old for the truck, since he loves watching the big trucks. It picked up the garbage at the back of the property, then drove by ours without stopping.
They must have come back at some point to put non-compliance stickers on some of the bags. Still none were taken, most were in compliance. The pink bags belong to a single neighbour who is a problem in other ways. Now they've been spread around on the grass, the extra night outside means some have been torn into by animals. The condo Corp next to us also had all their bags left behind.
Our condo corporation expects us all to collect our bags and store them for next garbage day. None of us have space for a month's worth of garbage.
I've put in a complaint with the city but I don't have high hopes for that. Anyone else having this issue? Anything else that can be done?

Hi, I recently moved to London Ontario. I'm planning to buy a winter jacket and boots, but am confused on which brand to go for. Not looking for long term use, just for this season as of now.
Please suggest to me brands or shops where I can get the attire for a decent price. I plan to go by the layering method.

Hey all! I would love a pizza recommendation for tonight. We aren’t looking for a nicer place (like Ellie’s etc) but more a classic Friday night pizza spot. We’d been a Pazoons family for years but they’re super hit or miss now. Then we tried Citos and really liked it but the last few weeks have been super thick and just not as good. I would love people’s go to. Thank you so much!

Hey neighbours!
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I’m new to East London and was wondering how many trick-or-treaters I can typically expect in this area. I don’t want to end up buying way too much or running out halfway through the night.
Also, what do kids seem to enjoy getting these days, and what do parents wish they got more of? I know candy is part of the fun of Halloween, but I was thinking of mixing in some chips or preferred school snacks, too, if there’s a general need.
Any insight into what Halloween is usually like around here would be appreciated. Thanks! 🎃

I’m looking for any suggestions as to a nail artist that could do this design…? (As well as gel fill beforehand). 🤞🏻
