Jailer 1 and 2 are undeniably bangers!

1 is still better as a movie for me than 2 but I still enjoyed 2 to its core. I'm a hardcore Thalaivar fan from Kerala.

Jailer 1 was close to being the best fanservice movie too. It's still up there as one of my favourite fanservice movies for Rajinikanth. Anirudh killed it there too. The movie had a proper storyline and EVERYTHING.

But something somewhere always makes me feel like they're still a 0.5 stars below Petta.

Petta just felt so organic. Idk how to explain. It didn't feel like it was "intentionally made for the fans to adore Thalaivar". None of the celebration moments in the movie felt forced. The story had proper twists and turns.

We celebrated Rajinikanth AND the character Petta Velan in the movie.

I think that's where Jailer 1 and 2 fell short. We celebrate Rajinikanth and only Rajinikanth in it. Not Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.

Karthik Subbaraj just set the bar a bit too high man.... He just OWNED Rajini and told everyone "look at how I'm gonna present my goat. Learn from me."

Jailer 2 didn't even have a proper storyline that was interesting to follow up. I just gave up focusing on the story because it was obvious that it was made to celebrate Thalaivar. And I had a BLAST doing it too in the theatre.

Paying little to no attention to the story and the movie was still fun to watch. Credits where it's due. So it was more of a theatrical experience than a movie.

But Petta was just.....different.

It was a movie first- and then later an experience.

The grand music....especially the church fight theme STILL gives me chills. I can rewatch Petta all day everyday and STILL not get bored. I know the entire movie by heart and you will STILL see me rewatching it whenever I'm bored.

The colours, the cinematography, the way they made a 68 y/o man fight without making stunt doubles obvious to our eyes, the dialogues, the MUSIC.....EVERYTHING. PEAK.

The ONLY segment where Jailer stood taller than Petta was the second act. Petta slowed down a bit nearing the climax. But it was still worth an experience.

I don't think we're getting a properly made fanservice movie like Petta anytime soon.

All hail Karthik Subbaraj 🫡

The tea stall scene was the best scene in the movie HANDS DOWN

I still don't understand how people are calling Mandaadi a great movie.

I remember seeing a post comparing Mandaadi, Bison, and Sarpatta Parambarai as great sports movies, and honestly, putting these three in the same conversation is INSANE. Sarpatta Parambarai had phenomenal character development, intense boxing sequences, memorable characters, and a story that actually made you feel something. Bison also deserves its place in the conversation for its raw emotions and sports drama. And then there's Mandaadi. I'm sorry, but how are people watching this and calling it great? Am I missing something, or are we just throwing the word masterpiece around these days? Comparing Sarpatta Parambarai to Mandaadi is literally the coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb meme. One is a proper sports drama; the other is being hyped up like it belongs in the same league.

Am I the only one who feels this way, or did I miss something that makes Mandaadi so good?

how do you feel about it folks, this was hands down one of the best FDFS experiences ever for me personally, nothing else matched the hype of Leo so far. waiting for ANI to drop the OST.

Namo Narayana (Pazhakkadai Moorthy)

These were peak turtle times , butcher coded :)

So nelson has had a good filmography starting from kolamavu kokula , doctor , jailer 1 and jailer 2 . But i wonder why beast because the mole in nelson filmography it had his regular comedy team . The mall portions were too much but movie was still decent but that ending scene . What on earth was that . So what exactly went wrong with this film behind the scenes. I am curious regarding this cause Nelson's other 4 films are good ..

Such a healthy and supportive couple!

Although we did see Superstar jiving to Bindaas while seated, the scene above did not make the final cut.

First film in recent memory where Rajini did not complete a dance step-not exactly newsworthy but something different & unique about this Rajini film.

(Note: this is not a Jailer 2 spoiler)

As there is a possibility of Jailer 3 and if it happens the possible plot is where MVP realized that the stakes of gold smuggling doesn't end with India and there are bigger evils and that extends the influence across the world. Hence, MVP decides to extend his influence across the world with two of his popular periya kais from the world helping him. And with all of his mega network, MVP defeats the bigger evils and then bgm plays, alappara kelappurom, thalaivaru nerandharam

One thing to be a fan of an actor. But to incite communal clashes is taking it too far.

There was this constant negativity surrounding big budget/star films, the uncertainty over sequels, particular marketing strategy and less hype for this film before the release. But then, I saw the second show at Bangalore and was stumped by how good the first half was but barely did I expect such a unanimous positive response.

I remember the pre-release days for Jailer and I wanted the movie to do good JUS FOR HIM. But the reception Jailer 2 is getting is just stupendous and surreal. ♥️🌟

KOLLYWOOD REALLY IS HEALING AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR SCENE AND OM TO CARRY ON THIS FORM. 🤞🏽
