Spotted this goliath on our back stairs. My 2 year old was really excited to tell us. He yells, "MANTIS!"

Hey everyone! I’ve been experimenting a lot with colored pencils lately and wanted to share a few of my stylized insect drawings.

In order of slides:

1. Rhino Beetle

2. Weevil

3. Purple Jewel Beetle

4. Black Widow

Is it an assassin bug?

I created this and was encouraged to share to fellow insect lovers who would appreciate! I submitted this design to a c0ndom design contest.

I think it would be hilarious. If you also would like to see this you can vote #4 on ig @OneCondoms https://www.instagram.com/p/DerY6tAEdE1/?rpxt=OTRrY3diMGNjeWZx

I live in East Tennessee, US

I felt something on me and i grabbed it and ended up with this thing. I have horrible OCD. Please identify :(

Lost Her for awhile and just found her on the dog crate. Does anyone know if she will pass away after laying eggs? Is this turning into a Charlotte's Web story?

Found this little guy crawling around my house. Google lens turned up random scarabs but none of them had the horns on the thorax.

So I boiled my dirty clothes in hot water to see if I could find an insect on them, to test out the theory that my previous controller said to me that if their treatment didn't work then there was something infesting my clothes.

Lo and behold after I went outside to check to hang the clothes, I was going to put my blue basin back in my bathroom, when I checked for insects and found these two.

I have a gecko who i keep crickets for. I was wondering how I can make their lives a little less miserable towards the end and maybe stop them from killing eachother.

This is what I have for them and I feel bad. I feed them pangea. Please help me give these crickets a better house and stop them from eating eachother. I put 2 food dishes there, but maybe I should put them on opposite sides? Maybe I should get a bigger home for them?

Rather large swarm of these guys on the back of our house this evening. Weren't there a few hours ago. Would really like some help identifying and knowing if I should be concerned about them being here?

Thanks in advance for any help!

A leaf-footed bug (family Coreidae) on a cactus fruit, plant is coastal prickly pear (Opuntia littoralis).

Genus Narnia), I think Narnia femorata, commonly known by the name leaf-footed cactus bug.

Practically perfectly blended in, I only noticed this one when I got up close to the cactus I while was pondering if I should bring tools to grab any fruit to eat and collect seeds

Is this a bedbug?
México City

It’s in the corner of my room on the ceiling

a dark bush cricket and a great green bush cricket

Found this fly mumified on the bottom of a leaf. What happened here?

This guy landed on my arm after I had the nerve to pollinate my tomatillos. There are heaps of them in my garden but they seem to really like hanging out on the tomatillo plants. He didn’t bite me. But he looked at me like he really wanted to.

my brother and i used to keep them as kids, we could even train them to be let outside to hunt and they would always come back. their favorite food was when we’d feed them honey sticks. i miss it so much, im sad their season is practically over (i cant believe i still found one!)
