Crossed the rainbow bridge a year ago today đđž
gallery(LAST PHOTO MAY BE UPSETTING - NOT GRAPHIC)
Hi all! Iâm new to reddit and had no idea there was a grey cats sub! Iâve been scrolling for awhile now.. and I gotta say.. you lovely owners have some GORGEOUS grey fur-babies!!!!
This is my Millie (my Mimi-girl, Moo-Moo, Mills.. the list goes on heheâŚ), who was a Russian Blue x Tabby cross we adopted from the SPCA.
Today marks one whole year of my first ever pet, and bestest friend crossing the rainbow bridge. Just thought Iâd sneak her into this subreddit to honour her memory, hehe.
When we took her to cross the bridge a rainbow from a tiny decoration hanging in the vetâs room appeared on her, just after our last goodbyes. I remember thinking âthank god, sheâs okay,â which is silly in hindsight⌠but it was like a reminder that the rainbow bridge was there! That she was crossing it!! (I put the photo of said rainbow last incase it upsets anyone :)
She was the runt of litter, had a very silly and cute short tail, and poofed up in Winter, and also got dark tribes on her tail depending on the season!
She loooooved catching mice, never killing them, just bringing them inside to play with, and she spent almost every night on my bed, always choosing to sleep right up on my chest.
She was as feisty as feisty girl-cats come, yet she was also the cutest, loveliest little hot-water-bottle when she needed a sleep and a cuddle. She was always down to sit on anyoneâs lap, (or neck, or chest, or face.. haha), no matter who they were. She loved attention and her special Friday night tin of the expensive wet food.. which she ate while we ate our takeaways đ¤Ł
She was the most beloved, worshipped, and treasured member of the family and I miss her so much. But Iâm glad she isnât in pain now, and she doesnât have to keep swallowing yucky drugs to try fight the kidney failure and ulcers she suffered with near the end.
Sorry for the sappy rant, and apologies if the last photo is upsetting.

Would my boy count as a Gray cat?
gallerywhat colour/colours would you classify him under⌠I feel like heâs wayy to gray to be considered brown but way too brown to be considered gray. Heâs also got more tonal and hue ranges to be conaiddeed white or blackâŚ.
Heâs gotten more brown actually over time because when he was a baby he was sooo gray! (Last photo is him around 2-3~ months)
I never know what to actually put down for his colour especially when filling out my lease. Everytime I see one of those âhome is where the (cat breed/appearance)â type of posts on Instagram none of them look like him! The closest Ive seen to maybe looking like him in the little drawings are gray tuxedosâŚ

My lovely boy Chester
galleryChester was an outdoor cat that hung outside of my apartment. I've been transitioning him to living indoors after caring for him daily for a couple of years and he's so well behaved indoors he acts like he was never a stray a day in his life. I believe someone abandoned him when they moved which is incredibly sad, he's super affectionate and loves to be with people.
