Hello Everyone.
After… a while since we(I) announced this, it’s finally time for the first actual post as part of the r/Gameoverse Fanworks Collection Project(™)
You might be wondering “what is this?”. Well it’s quite simple. The r/Gameoverse Fanworks Collection Project(™) is, well, a project where we collect fanworks about GAMEOVERSE, posted in the subreddit, and from time to time, we make posts like this one where we go over the works created by people in the community. This is because, well, the reddit algorithm can be punishing, and we want to help with that (and also it's cool to look at the diversity of artists we have, and what stuff they're making)
This collection post is ordered as follows:
- Images 1-6 are Original Character art, works people have made of characters they've invented, existing within the GAMEOVERSE world
- *Images 1 & 2 have had original post deleted by the OP, but they have given us permission to use the images
- Images 7-12 are Canonical Character art, art of characters that are actually canon to the show (but not necessarily in situations that they'd actually be in, canonically)
If you want to get your art involved in the collection project, please send us a modmail message (formal/proper submission process still WIP). Doesn’t matter what it is(as long as it's GAMEOVERSE related), or how good you may think it is, we want to see it, and if your art is allowed for posting here, it is eligible for addition to the collection.
Notes:
- Just because you have art in the collection is not a guarantee that it will be posted, the priority for posting art is not linked to how recently it was submitted, or how long it's been in the collection for.
- If you have any specific details about any of your submissions that you want to be in any of your posts (could be all, or specific ones), please share that to us, so that it can be taken into account for future posts.
- In order to submit an image to the collection, it must be posted in the subreddit, but you may ask for the source link of the image to be somewhere off-platform (eg: twitter)
- Regarding images not permitted here, due to rule 5 (NSFW content policy):
- Images posted in r/Goonoverse are also eligible for submission, even if not allowed here, HOWEVER collection posts will be in r/Goonoverse only. (Although the post here and in the other sub will cross-link to eachother)
(Depending on timing of stuff, there may or may not be a collection post next week, we're probably all going to be prepping for the pilot at that point, but we shall see)

WARRICK DAY HELL YEAH!!! I tried all day and couldn't come up with a good enough idea for today's drawing, but nothing seemed good enough, so I decided to just have fun on the canvas.
We have:
- 2 of my rejected sketches when I still had hope
- the FIRST EVER Warrick x Marakne ship art
- a recreation of my genuine first reaction to Warrick + getting called out by one of my friends (Foolish Dragon)
Warrick might genuinely be my favorite character in the show and I swear it goes beyond being hot!!! In general, the humor in Gameoverse is right up my alley, but I love Warrick's small comedic moments in particular. The way he sounds so distraught (maybe ashamed?) whenever he accidentally hits a Floaty, how he orders Fold to apologise to Crab Girl and calls him "dum dum", it all makes him so endearing to me. It's such a great contrast to the terrifying, cruel tyrant he seems to be most of the time. It's nice that the villain can be a little goofy without losing any menace. I'm so excited to know more about his origin and his motives, possible see him in a proper fight? PLEASE, ROSS, I BEG YOU TO MAKE WARRICK AN AWESOME CHARACTER PLEASE

If I get downvoted for my gushing/rambling, I DO NOT CARE!! I finally gathered the courage to post here and I am exercising my freedom as I see fit!!!
Honestly I don't think I'd be as attatched to Kaboodle -- or Gameoverse as a whole -- if it didn't release when it did. I had just turned 18 the month before it released. April 16th to be exact.
Yes, the pilot dropped May 15th, not 16th, but shhushh, let me have this.
This show was like. One of the first things I got into upon entering adulthood. And for once I had the technology to actually participate in the fandom when it started. Sure, the early fandom stages was pretty rough, and my participation was limited to tumblr, but I'm still happy I joined.
I've watched the pilot about 50 times now.... and I have it downloaded onto my phone...
May was also the same month of my highschool graduation. And around that time I was already fairly attatched to Kaboodle. I wore a fucking bracelet themed around him under my robe. And I was able to purchase the official pin and plush as a graduation gift -- WHILE THE PILOT SALE WAS GOING ON!!!
Something really cool about those was that they both shipped around really tough areas of my life. I got the shipping notification for my pin while I was having a weird meltdown after arguing with an ex abuser, and i made the joke being like "omg my husband is coming to save me lol" and i locked in IMMEDIATELY. The plush arrived while I was stressing over the results of my scholarship admissions and loans as well (spoiler, I got the fine arts scholarship)
Honestly having so much fondness and love for Kaboodle, as dumb as it sounds, sparked back up my creativity. I quit my addiction to AI chat bots over writing my own self insert OC and personal AU, which I'm still working on and I'd like to expand to animations someday. I picked up sewing again. I finally started using my button maker. I started actually taking care of myself.
And to think for the longest time I kept most of it to myself. But now it's all I really talk about lmao.
And I've received so much support for it as well. I've made so many new friends, I've received FANART -- not just art from art trades, but people DRAWING MY OC WITH KABOODLE JUST. ON THEIR OWN. I keep all the art I get in a binder. Right now, it's underneath my picture frame, controller, and microcassete player, and I have to take it out because I got MORE ART TO PRINT.
Becoming so open and exercising my free will of sharing my love for Kaboodle on my other socials and another subreddit of people LIKE ME has honestly made me the happiest I've been in a while. So much so that I consider Cyx to be an alter-ego, a secondary persona/mascot, rather than just an OC.
Honestly, I think Gameoverse has influenced me just as much as Pokémon has. And if you know me, you know I don't play about Pokémon.... If I could show off my collection without my post being tagged as off-topic, I would....
But yeah, I DEADASS never loved another character as much as I love Kaboodle. There is so much sentimental value that comes with this little fucker and, while I know I'm probably not crowned to be his biggest fan, I don't plan on stopping loving him anytime soon 🔥🔥🔥
This reminds me i need to post about my guy at some point. Im gonna make reference sheets soon trust. I mean. I have one for Cyx. But it's so chopped. I need to make a new oneee...
