I'm thinking about getting a GPD WIN 4 and pairing it with my existing eGPU. I currently use it with a minipc. The eGPU is pretty compact and easy to carry around, though it does need external power, so it's not something I can use just anywhere, but it'll work wherever there's an outlet. I really like the WIN 4's design, and I think this could be a pretty neat setup. Anyone here using a portable eGPU with their GPDs? How's the experience? Also, is it still possible to get a brand new WIN 4 somewhere, or is it mostly secondhand now?

I’ve only had this thing for a month and a half. Been using it every day, I love it so much but I can’t help but feel a little annoyed about this. Very disappointed. This device was expensive and I expect it to last a little longer before breaking apart. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I don’t want to use superglue bc it’s right by the exhaust vent. I was planning on putting a sticker on my device but now the sticker would get messed up. The other two screws on the back panel also have cracks.

2022 win max 2. this has happened 3 times now over the past several months where I'll be using the laptop at around maybe 70% battery and after a couple minutes with no low battery warning it suddenly shuts off or hibernates and upon rebooting shows battery at 0%, usually taking a few minutes to get back up to 1% but always works fine after and charges as normal.

I've gotten a lot of use out of the machine over the past 4 years, and the battery life has degraded a bit since it was new but save for these couple rare instances nothing too bad.

do you all think its time to replace the battery or is there something else wrong? a short? windows reading the battery capacity wrong? Does anyone have experience with having Win Max 2 batteries replaced/how involved it is?

Using GPD Win 4 and was wondering if theres any new battery models that give me at least 3 hr gaming session.

I'd like to ask how the experience is ordering from Indiegogo/gpdstore.net/droix is? To those from the Philippines/Southeast Asia, how much did you have to pay in taxes? Was the shipping process smooth and quick?

I'd like to get my hands on a new GPD Win Max 2 or Pocket 4, but I am not familiar with the process of ordering them online.

For context: I have already asked around all the Datablitz (distributor in the Philippines) I could reach out to if they had any stock left of GPD units, and none had any physical stock left and its sold out on the website. I asked a major branch about pre-ordering, but they informed me the chances of restocking are low. I am also eyeing some secondhand units on FB marketplace, but tbh I'd prefer a new one. So, getting them locally has become a hassle.

So after doing a lot of research I am definitely leaning towards getting the Gpd mini! Looking at the 2025 version with the AI chip but open to other versions for a good price.
For reference I have an ally x (original) dual booted with bazzite which while great is not portable at all. I don’t find it comfortable for handheld play so it remains docked.
What is yall experience of the Gpd mini? Worth it?
Is it easy to dual boot with bazzite?
Best place to buy? Thinking about tariffs as well
And any way to get extra protection? I haven’t seen any screen protectors or anything for such an expensive device I always get extra protection.
Looking to basically just play my steam library only on it.
