i’m not tryna be contrarian and this might be a hot take but has anyone else just not been able to stand his music the past ~2ish years. i think subtronics is one of the greatest acts to ever exist in bass music and he has done a lot to revive the scene and catapult it to the forefront of edm, but it really feels like he isn’t trying anymore and just satisfying the desires of the market. ever since “itchy scratchy”, i’ve noticed him trending towards these meme type hooks that go into completely random and non-cohesive drops that don’t really make sense in the context of a whole composition, especially for someone as skilled as him songwriting wise. Don’t get me wrong, i still think he is an incredible artist and relatively recent tracks such as a final breath and eyes cut deeper are phenomenal, but even eyes cut deeper feels like he just refried his crystallized remix nachos and threw original vocals over it. like you’re telling me the dude that made scream saver and spacetime is the same guy who made bird phone. don’t even get me started on this new id “dolphin cannon” cuz like wtf even is that shit. what are yalls thoughts?

🔥🔥🔥🔥

Really been into chmura, eazybaked, super task lately, looking for more of that slow bass heavy songs that range from 85-90bpm

Is this just an acapella hit that he uses or is this part of an actual track? I’ve been trying to figure it out and everything keeps pointing to “Alone” but I’m not actuallly hearing the line? Only in live sets?

Hello everyone! I’m having a Halloween party and my fiancé and I are making a playlist. I’m looking for some Halloween themed dubstep songs if you have any recommendations! (Preferably on Spotify) 💚
Thank you so much! :)

We are really looking to take our dub to another level and wanted to see what kind of talent we got out there.

Message me on instagram for more info always happy to chat

Let me know what i can do to support you if you are a sound design guy because this is where i focus.

What are your favourite rollers?

I’m a spin instructor and I’m bringing dubstep, real dubstep, into my classes. I need more rollers for mid ride efforts without big obnoxious drops. I’m a big fan of J:Kenzo (he has perfect music for this), Enigma Dubz, Youngsta, Truth, Nomine, 11th Hour, Commodo.

For reference think songs like Guilty, Token Image, Desired state by J:Kenzo; Fragments by 11th Hour; and one of my favourite, Interval by Personnage.

Can you share your songs? I swear I’m going to check every one of them out, as long as it’s on Spotify (the platform the studio uses).

Edit: just funny to have a post downvoted when I’m asking for suggestions. It shows this isn’t a real dubstep crowd.

Hey everyone! Here is my original track "Heaven Shake" — a mix of heavy dubstep and glitch hop produced in FL Studio. Hope you enjoy the vibe!

Hey fam, I’m looking for some inspiration when it comes to mixing music.

Looking for a producer or DJ that is really good at blending up beat 140 dubstep (Monxx, Subtronics, etc), with more halftime artists (CharlesTheFirst, Chmura, Mfinity, etc).

I believe this might be a tricky thing to do.. I’m not sure as I’m just learning mixing. But if you know someone that is really good at raising the crowds energy with dubstep, just to bing the crowd down into some wubby, slow, space bass pockets, I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions!

Thanks
