I... I think the Venus de Milo might actually be Eris?? NSFW
According to her Wikipedia article, a marble hand holding an apple was found next to "Venus" when she was originally unearthed in 1820.

It's not even clear that she's supposed to be Venus/Aphrodite. Other candidates have apparently included a Muse, Nemesis, or Sappho.
To which I have to say: you dig up a lady holding an apple in ancient Greece, ISN'T THERE SOMEONE MISSING FROM THAT LIST??

Also note how pissed off she looks.
Supposedly the reason "Aphrodite" is holding the Apple is that this she's just won the Beauty Contest of the Gods.

Is this the elated face of a love goddess who's just beaten 2-4 rivals to win the Beauty Contest of the Gods and received a coveted shiny fruit prize? Or is this the vengeful expression of Our Heavenly Weirdo when confronted with the Original Snub??
So what's going on? Have the Agents of Greyface been hiding the truth for centuries for unspecified nefarious purposes?
I mean, I don't have ANY training in classics or archeology at all, and I reckon it's sus, so it shouldn't take the real boffins long to work this one out.

Discordia It's been too long 😭
I haven't read this in so long. Like maybe 15 years? Forgot how funny af. Honestly, I've looked into so many spiritual traditions, theologies, clap-trap, flim-flam, and psychotic cult shit- but this has always been on the back burner (perhaps the foundation of everything I know?).
Perineal wisdom of the sages 🙏🤣

Liber null and psychonaut, bought for £4 at a gig I did in a book shop a few days ago. I am probably not going to get too much into Carroll but I have a couple of other bits of his work and feel like this is a necessary addition.

To Thine Own Shelf be Screwed, or, How To Become an Irrelevant Relic
Being a play in one brief act.*
Dramatis personae: El, a god; Asherah, a goddess; Priesthood, a priesthood; and Announcer, who bears a striking resemblance to another goddess.
Scene: Asherah is confronting her mate, El, somewhere in Levant.
Asherah: "I never see you around any more. You're always hanging out in some tent in the desert with 'the boys', and all I have to show for it is these poles, and now you don't even want me to have those? Guess what, El: You wanted a life without a consort … you got it."
[sashays out to phone a lawyer]
El: "Well … shit." [steps outside] "Hey guys, you know that thing I said about adultery? Guess what. If you even look at a chick, you've done it, so stop that. Also, no one's allowed to marry their sister-in-law any more."
Priesthood: "Even if the brother is dead?"
El: "I have spake."
Priesthood: "Um … that's not going to go over well with—"
El: [thunder, lightning, pillar of fire, etc.]
Priesthood: "Got it, got it, no looking at women ever again."
El: "Also no onanism. And no guy-on-guy stuff."
Priesthood [to one another]: "Man, he's really lost it, huh? Maybe we should scarper off to Babylon, or—"
El: "MAY I REMIND YOU of the FIRST clause in the Decalogue?"
Priesthood: "Dammit, we shoulda read the whole thing through instead of just clicking 'I agree'."
Announcer: "Και το ηθικό δίδαγμα της ιστορίας είναι — oh bugger. Mm-hem. As I was saying, the moral of the story is: Choose your deities wisely."
* Or an act you may perform in your briefs. Or even out of them. We don't judge.

Submit We're gonna need a Sigil of Bafflement. I would say it's the famous Eris picture, but that's the one doing the bafflement, I think we need one for the ones feeling it.
