John got me through a lot of tough times when I was growing up.
I hate this so much. Thanks for sharing your gift with us all. What's your favorite John Anderson song?

Country/Americana songs about drug addiction?
I’m working on a project for my Facebook page where I discuss the opioid crisis and overall drug epidemic in coal country and other impoverished areas. So I am hoping to find songs about the darker side of addiction.

Earlier today I was at work and I heard a song from my childhood. I know it was on the radio a lot and sounded slower. I know it was country and started with a violin at the beginning. The chorus seemed to layer the artist’s vocals and I know the tune but no lyrics.
UPDATE: I found the song! It was in fact by the Zac Brown band, thank you to the person who suggested it

I never listen to music (Muslim, music is forbidden). Having the worst day ever, turned on the radio and this came on. I thought it was "I don't wanna kill myself" and was really, deeply enjoying it lol.

Hey everyone! I’ve been on the hunt for a solid Spotify playlist inspired by June Carter Cash, but couldn't quite find what I was looking for. So, I took matters into my own hands and built one! 🪕 Expect a mix of classic country, traditional folk, and authentic Americana. It’s heavily inspired by the legacy of June Carter Cash and The Carter Family, featuring timeless acoustic sounds, outlaw country, and vintage country hits. Let me know what you think! 👇

I consider myself pretty well versed in country from about 1970 to 2000. But I know theres good music out there to be found. I dont want the singles I missed or well know songs. What are the great shoulda been heard, or poignant or coulda been a hit songs or maybe just unique special country songs that even an avid loistener of country may have missed over the years from any era. I would love to keep building my collection of great country songs.
I submit to you all George Jones - I sleep just like a baby

Hi, I love seeing the memes about Luke Bryan’s music, but I keep thinking, is it because he’s a bad person or just because people hate his songs? Either way it’s hilarious
