Car Advice/Query Endeavour 3.2 vs crysta

Guys help me out

I'm planning to buy endeavour 3.2 2016 modal which is well maintained and have 1lakh kilometer in odo.

I personally love to enjoy driving experience and i want to experience the proper suv . I will also usually travel with my family and need 7 seater.

My heart says go with endeavour but my mind says go with crysta .

Both I'm planning to buy second hand. If I buy Endy I might sell it after 5 years because of depreciation but crysta I can keep it as long as it holds.

Car Advice/Query Am i an idiot for buying a car without negotiating at all?

Post image

first time buyer here and i think i might have overpaid just to avoid talking to people.

i went to one offline dealer in andheri last week. the guy immediately started doing this aggressive sales pitch, shouting at his mechanic, offering chai, quoting random RTO fees... my anxiety spiked and i just walked out.

ended up finding a grand i10 on cars24. price was fixed on the app so i literally just booked it, took my mechanic to verify the engine on the test drive, and paid exactly what was on the screen.

now my uncle is mocking me saying i got scammed because i didn't sit there for 3 hours bargaining and throwing tantrums to drop the price. the car is mechanically fine, but is it normal to just pay the asking price for a used car nowadays or did i actually mess up by not haggling?

Car Advice/Query Looking to buy my first used car in Hyderabad (₹5–6L budget) — mileage, reliability or a VW Polo?

Hey guys!

I'm looking to buy a second-hand car in Hyderabad and could use some advice from people who own or have experience with used cars.

My monthly running would be around 1,500–2,000 km, mostly daily commutes in city traffic, so mileage is definitely an important factor. At the same time, I want something reliable, reasonably sturdy, and relatively affordable to maintain.

My budget is around ₹5–6 lakh for the car itself, but I'd be happy to spend less if I can find something good. I'd also like to keep some money aside for initial servicing, unexpected repairs, and a few upgrades like a dashcam and a decent infotainment system.

My monthly salary is around ₹50k, so I don't want to end up buying a car that becomes a financial headache every time something needs fixing.

I've been researching options and am currently considering cars like:

  • Honda City / Amaze
  • Maruti Suzuki Baleno / Celerio
  • Hyundai i10 / i20 / Verna

I'm also confused between getting a hatchback or a sedan. A hatchback seems more practical for Hyderabad traffic and parking, but I do like the comfort and highway stability that a good sedan offers.

One more thing: a friend of mine is selling his 2018 Volkswagen Polo, and the car seems to be in pretty good condition. I do like the Polo, but I've seen quite a few people advise against buying a used VW because of maintenance costs and expensive repairs. Is the situation really that bad, or is it manageable if the car has been maintained well?

I'd love to hear your recommendations based on actual ownership experience, especially regarding:

  • Real-world mileage in Hyderabad traffic
  • Maintenance and repair costs
  • Long-term reliability
  • Which models and years offer the best value in the ₹5–6L range
  • Whether the Polo is worth considering or something I should avoid

Also, would you recommend spending the entire budget on the car, or buying something cheaper and keeping ₹50k–₹1L aside for repairs and upgrades?

Thanks in advance! Any advice is appreciated.

Hi everyone
First time car buyer here , I haven’t owned any car or driven a car for more than 50Kms before but i need a car for various reasons now and want to keep the car for very long.
I am biased towards Exter for 4 cylinder engine and after sales service but Punch road presence and few additional features like LED headlamps and etc are very attractive as-well so super confused between 2 so please help me people who own these cars or generally know about these cars.

Car Advice/Query Speed limit

I recently bought a new Hyundai Aura, which is a yellow-plate taxi vehicle. Its speed limit is set to 80 km/h by the RTO, and it doesn’t go beyond that.

Can anyone tell me how this speed limit can be bypassed, or recommend someone who is an expert in doing this?

Car Advice/Query Baleno vs i20 – What mileage do you actually get in heavy city traffic?

Baleno vs i20 – What mileage do you actually get in heavy city traffic?

I’m trying to decide between a Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20, mainly based on fuel economy.

I’m not looking for ARAI figures — I want to know the real-world mileage in heavy city traffic, especially from owners in cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, etc.

I’m particularly interested in Baleno vs i20 petrol.

Thanks!

Discussion Car bike bhejo is a scam

Here’s a polished version that keeps your experience and concerns clear, while making it more useful and credible for Reddit:
Reddit review
✓

I had my car transported from Rajasthan to Karnataka through this company after seeing the reviews on their website. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and stressful.
The car was delivered extremely dirty, both inside and out, and some of the tools that were with the car were missing. By the time it arrived, it honestly looked like a completely different car from the one I handed over.
The communication during the process was also very frustrating. The person coordinating the shipment was not professional in the way she handled my concerns and, when I raised issues, the responses were along the lines of “Ma’am, main kya kar sakti hoon?” and “Isse mujhe koi farak nahi padta.” Instead of helping resolve the problem, the attitude made an already stressful situation even worse.
What concerned me most was not simply the dirt or inconvenience, but the uncertainty about how the car was handled during transit. I have photos showing the car being kept outdoors in what appeared to be abandoned/open areas. I cannot say exactly where the car was taken or stored during the journey, but seeing those photos and receiving the car in that condition left me with serious concerns about the handling and accountability throughout the process.
All we expected was a responsible and transparent delivery of the car. Instead, the entire experience became unnecessarily stressful.
My advice: do thorough due diligence before using this service. Don't rely solely on the reviews published on the company's own website. Ask specifically about where the vehicle will be stored, how it will be transported, what happens in case of damage or missing items, and document the vehicle and its belongings thoroughly before handing it over.
Based on my experience, I would personally avoid using them again. If driving the car yourself is a practical option, I would seriously consider that instead.
This version avoids making claims you can't independently establish (such as exactly where the car went) while still documenting the red flags and your firsthand experience.

Discussion Thar ROXX MX1 – removed pin from MID button coupler for steering switch. Is this safe?

Hi everyone,
I have a Mahindra Thar ROXX MX1 and recently installed a genuine Mahindra steering-mounted switch.
The installer made a modification to the MID/lower button coupler. There was one terminal/pin in the original coupler that was being used for the lower MID control. They removed that metal terminal/pin from the coupler so the corresponding function could be connected to the new steering switch.
The removed terminal was then wrapped completely with black electrical insulation tape and tucked under the steering-column plastic. The original coupler was plugged back in with that one pin removed.
There was no wire cutting or splicing.
My questions are:
1. Is the removed pin likely to carry any significant voltage/current when the coupler is connected?
2. Can a properly taped/de-pinned terminal cause a short circuit if it is secured under the steering plastic?
3. Is electrical tape sufficient for this, or should an OEM terminal seal/blanking plug or heat-shrink be used?
4. Could this modification cause any electrical/electronic issue with the MID, BCM, steering controls, or other systems?
5. Does anyone know the Thar ROXX wiring diagram/connector pinout for this MID control?
The car currently has no warning lights or electrical issues.
I’m mainly looking for advice from someone familiar with the Thar ROXX electrical wiring/connector pinouts.
