Looking for honest feedback on my nutrition tracking app

Hi everyone! I've been building a nutrition and calorie-tracking app called NutriyaAI, and I'm looking for people willing to try it and share honest feedback.

I'm especially interested in learning which parts of food tracking people find frustrating, what features they actually use regularly, and what would make them stick with a nutrition app over time.

I'm an independent developer, so feedback from real users would be incredibly helpful as I continue improving the app.

If you're interested in testing it, let me know what device you're using and what you usually look for in a nutrition app.

Thanks!

Looking for macOS testers for Zipee, an open-source archive manager (ZIP/TAR)

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I've been building Zipee, a free, open-source archive manager for macOS, and I'm looking for Mac users and developers willing to help test it.

The idea is simple: let people browse archive contents without extracting everything first.

What Zipee aims to support:

- Browse archives in a tree view

- Inspect file names, sizes, timestamps and encryption status

- Extract individual files or folders instead of the entire archive

- Create and edit ZIP archives

- Read TAR archives

- Verify archive integrity

- Handle ZIP archives encrypted with WinZip AES-256

The core engine has automated tests, and the macOS app builds for both Apple Silicon and Intel.

Full disclosure: This is an early build. I haven't yet verified the GUI by launching it on a real Mac, and Finder integration and some Swift tests remain unverified. The installer is unsigned, so macOS security protections may block it.

That's exactly why I'm looking for testers before claiming it's ready for everyday use.

If you have a Mac, I'd especially appreciate help with:

  1. Building and launching the app.

  2. Opening ZIP files, including large archives and encrypted ZIPs.

  3. Browsing nested folders and extracting selected files.

  4. Creating or editing ZIP archives and checking that the results are valid.

  5. Reporting crashes, UI issues, installation problems or anything that doesn't behave as expected.

Honest negative feedback is just as useful as positive feedback. Please don't use important or sensitive archives for testing.

GitHub: https://github.com/desukab/zipee

If you're interested, please share your Mac model, macOS version, and any issues you encounter. Bug reports and contributions are welcome.

Thanks to anyone willing to give an early-stage open-source project a try!

Looking for devs to test a profanity filter API, especially if your app has usernames or chat

• Upvotes

We built Unprofane, an API that catches swear words even when people try to hide them with leetspeak, letters from other alphabets or hidden characters. It also tries not to block innocent words like Scunthorpe, which most filters get wrong.

I'm looking for people who will actually plug it into something, like a sign-up form, a game chat or a comment section, and tell me honestly how it went.

What I'd like to know:

- What got through that shouldn't have

- What got blocked by mistake

- Anything confusing about setting it up

Test keys are free and give you 100 checks a day, no card needed. You can also just try it in the browser first: https://unprofane.com/playground/

If you test it, comment here or DM me, I'll read everything.

We built an app around “busy isn’t progress”: daily top 3, evening shutdown, free AI briefing. Feedback welcome

• Upvotes

FlowCoach AI is a daily planner and habit app with an AI coach on top.

The core loop: pick up to 3 tasks each morning tied to your goals, track habits and mood/energy, and close the day with a 5-minute shutdown. Every plan, including Free, gets a short AI briefing in the morning or evening.

Free plan, no card. Web, iPhone, Android, 10 languages. https://flowcoachai.com

We’d love blunt feedback, especially: does the “top 3” limit feel helpful or restrictive?

[Playkla] Built a little retro corner of the web: NES games that start in seconds. Would love your thoughts

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

NES games (or Dendy, for those of us who grew up with that name) have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. But whenever I felt like revisiting one, it turned into a hassle: questionable download pages, emulator configs, folders full of files, endless ads. All I really wanted was to open a page and start playing.

That's how Playkla came to life – https://playkla.com

Highlights:

  • Plenty of titles are available in multiple regional releases – Japanese, European, American and more – so you can play exactly the version from your childhood
  • A library of 1,677 NES games in 15 genres, from platformers and RPGs to shooters, sports, puzzles and even learning games for kids
  • Choose a game, hit Play, and you're in within seconds
  • No account, no downloads, nothing to install
  • Your progress is stored automatically in the browser
  • Play with a keyboard or a controller – Xbox, DualSense (PS5) and Steam Controller are supported right away
  • Runs on phones too
  • Save favorites and quickly return to recently played games

For now the site is available in English, with other languages possibly coming later.

Playkla is free, and that's not going to change. Tell me what you like and what could be improved – all suggestions are welcome. I'll go through every comment. Thanks for stopping by!

Disclaimer: Playkla is an independent fan-made project with no affiliation to, sponsorship from or endorsement by Nintendo, Sega, Atari or any other game publisher. All games, trademarks and copyrights are the property of their respective owners.

Looking for feedback from shift workers on my redesigned iOS Home Screen widgets

• Upvotes

I’m developing SpanRota, an iPhone shift and pay tracker, and I’ve just redesigned its Home Screen widgets.

The Small widget focuses on your current or next shift.

The Medium widget shows:

• current/next shift
• shift time and countdown
• next expected unpaid paycheck
• Advance or Final payment when applicable

It also handles Night shifts across midnight, Off days and Paid Leave.

I’m specifically looking for feedback on information hierarchy:

Would you rather see:

A) Current/Next Shift + Next Paycheck
or
B) Current/Next Shift + next 2–3 upcoming shifts?

Any feedback from people who work rotating schedules would be especially useful.

[iPhone] Looking for feedback on FlockYou, an app that routes around reported Flock cameras

• Upvotes

I made FlockYou to show reported Flock cameras and other license plate readers near you. It can also find a route around them when there's another route available.

I'd like feedback on camera coverage in different cities and whether the route options make sense. The map is free. Navigation is part of Premium and still in beta, so testing that part does require a paid plan.

It uses reported locations, so it's not going to catch every camera. If you try it, let me know what's missing or feels off.

[iOS, Android, Web] MotoCurve - free route planner + navigation for scenic drives and rides, looking for testers

• Upvotes

What it is: a route planner + navigation app. I built it for motorcycle riders, but it works just as well in a car. It finds curvy backroads for fun drives, has a Fastest mode with live traffic, plans multi-day road trips with overnight stops, and warns you about speed cameras and road closures.

Who it's for: anyone who drives or rides in the US, Canada or Mexico, especially if you like scenic roads or road trips. You can also try the planner on the website without going anywhere.

Where to get it (free, no ads):

Feedback I'm looking for:

  1. Plan a route near you on the website. Does it pick roads you'd actually want to drive?
  2. Is anything confusing in the first 2 minutes?
  3. Try navigation on a short drive. Are the voice directions clear and on time?

I'm the developer, and I'll answer every comment. Happy to test your app in return. Just drop a link.

Looking for AI builders to test one workflow across models and tools on a shared balance

I’m Yash, building Dreamtune. I’m looking for developers with a small AI project that needs a model plus another paid capability, such as web search or extraction.

Dreamtune puts supported models, tools and compute on one workspace balance, with SDK and MCP access. The thing I want tested is pretty specific: can you find the services your project needs, connect them, and finish one useful task without getting stuck?

I’d love feedback on where setup becomes confusing, which capability you couldn’t find, and whether the output and charges make sense. A failed attempt is useful feedback too.

We’re also selecting 10 builders for $25 in Dreamtune credits each, plus hands-on integration help. Applications aren’t a guarantee of selection. Promising projects may receive further support as they progress. No requirement to make a promotional video or give a positive review.

Project: https://dreamtunelabs.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=builder_testing&utm_content=alphaandbetausers

Sponsorship application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfvj9LQP5brG2Uw20DF8bf1g7VdgvejS4c44ITfhmqlPpLWNg/viewform

If you want to sanity-check fit first, tell me the task and stack you’re using. Please don’t share API keys.

[Beta] KDP EPUB Preflight — free browser prototype for ebook publishers (Web)

I'm researching whether a small tool is worth building for people who publish ebooks on Kindle Direct Publishing, and I'm looking for a few beta testers who actually upload books to KDP — authors or formatters.

The prototype is a single web page that checks an EPUB file (and, separately, a marketing cover image) against a short list of KDP upload criteria. It runs entirely in your browser — your file is never uploaded anywhere — and it deliberately does not do full EPUB validation. Nothing is for sale; this is research, and blunt verdicts are the most useful kind.

What testing involves: a short written exchange about your most recent KDP upload (what happened, and whether anything was difficult to resolve), then — only if it's relevant to what you describe — trying the prototype on one of your own files, on your own computer, and telling me whether anything it reported was a real problem, an uncertain warning, a false alarm, or already known. About 10–15 minutes total, at your pace. Please don't send me any manuscript files.

If you publish on KDP and you're willing, reply here and I'll start with the one question. Happy to share what I learn when the test wraps up.

Looking for five small-business owners to try making a contact page — happy to help with the setup

I run listed.as, a free builder for a page with your services, contact details and links. I'm looking for five small service-business owners to try making a page: builders, decorators, plumbers, electricians, gardeners, or independent couriers taking direct bookings.

Two starting points:

• Trades: the jobs you take on, towns you cover, a preferred contact route, and links to photos of completed work or genuine reviews. For quote enquiries, tell customers what details or photos to send.

• Delivery: collection and delivery areas, the kinds and sizes of items you carry, when you take bookings, and how to request a quote. A useful enquiry includes the two locations, item size and preferred date.

If you're helping a relative get online, you're welcome too. I'll help organise the wording and links here in the comments. You create the account and keep control of the page.

Try https://listed.as, add a short description and your contact links, then tell me where you got stuck. You can use placeholders while testing; keep private contact details out of this thread.

The builder and setup help are free. No testimonial required. I'll ask separately before sharing anyone's before-and-after as an example.

[Windows] PSLNest: looking for feedback on a DXF nesting app for CNC jobs

Hi, I'm Jarkko, the developer of PSLNest. I'm looking for a few people to try the Windows beta and help me improve it.

The app takes DXF drawings of flat parts and arranges them on sheets for cutting. It exports DXF layouts and PDF production reports; you use your usual CAM software to create the cutting toolpaths. The nesting calculation runs on your own computer.

It supports irregular shapes, different sheet sizes, materials and thicknesses, manual layout editing, reusable offcuts and large repeat orders. Optional filler parts can use leftover space without opening extra sheets. The interface and PDF reports support millimetres and inches.

It's an early project, and packing quality, speed and usability are still being improved. My goal is affordable, practical software.

For a first test, trying one existing DXF job is enough. I'd particularly like to know:

– Was downloading, starting and activating it straightforward?

– Could you import parts, set quantities and sheet sizes, and run a nesting job without getting stuck?

– Were manual editing and exporting easy to understand?

– Did you find crashes, import errors, obvious gaps or unnecessary sheets?

Screenshots and steps to reproduce a problem help a lot. Sharing DXF files or saved jobs is optional; please only share files you have permission to share, and keep confidential drawings out of public comments. Constructive feedback will guide changes and new features.

The trial is free for 30 days from activation, on up to two computers. It needs 64-bit Windows 10 or later; English and Finnish are available.

Download: https://updates.pslnest.com/packages

Direct Windows ZIP (0.9.8): https://updates.pslnest.com/packages/PSLNest-Beta-0.9.8.zip

Activation currently requires a personal invitation code, available from me at support@pslnest.com. Downloading the ZIP alone does not activate the trial.

Short demo: https://pslnest.com/demo

Website: https://pslnest.com/

You can send feedback and read my replies in Info → Feedback and support inside the app. Optional attachments currently have a 1 MiB total limit per report; contact me first about larger examples. Optional usage tracking is off by default. Check exported layouts in CAM before cutting while this is still a beta.

I built a Chrome extension to make the new Reddit feel more like old Reddit

With Reddit continuing to evolve its UI, I worry that old.reddit.com might not be around forever. And for those of us who prefer its simpler, denser interface, that would be a real loss.

So I built ORIB, a Chrome extension that makes the newer Reddit UI feel more like old Reddit while bringing some of its functionality to the modern interface.

I'm looking for feedback from people who still use old Reddit or prefer its UI. Does the extension get the look and feel right? Are there features from old Reddit that you wish the new UI had? I'd love to know what feels off or what could be improved.

A quick note on privacy: I used Cursor to help build this extension since JavaScript isn't my strongest suit. I understand that installing a browser extension requires trust, especially when it interacts with Reddit. That's why ORIB is free and open-source, and you can inspect the code yourself before installing it.

I'm looking for honest feedback on the current version, especially from people who miss the old Reddit experience. The goal is to make using the new Reddit less of a downgrade for those of us who prefer the old interface.

Web/design freelancers: looking for 1–3 volunteers to critique a local client-handoff checker

I’m looking for candid feedback from web developers/designers who send client deliverables. This is an unpaid, voluntary prototype review, not a request for votes, purchases or a positive testimonial.

HandoffReady connects an agreed brief, outgoing files and an exported delivery record. Local Gemma suggests checklist items and supporting files; narrow file checks inspect properties such as dimensions, transparency and identical bytes. The reviewer makes the final assessment. It does not execute websites or judge design quality.

Low-effort option — about 10 minutes: inspect the recorded synthetic example and client record, with no installation or account: https://yashanand69.github.io/handoffready/explore/ https://yashanand69.github.io/handoffready/records/after.html

These are recorded examples, not a hosted interactive app. Feedback on them will be labelled prototype feedback, not hands-on validation.

Hands-on option — about 20 minutes: the full stack runs locally; installation instructions and the release are here: https://github.com/YashAnand69/handoffready/releases/tag/v0.2.0 The validated setup is Apple Silicon macOS. Model installation is optional for a manual trial. Please use the synthetic sample or non-confidential files you have permission to use.

What I’d like to learn:

  1. How do you currently check a delivery and explain remaining work to a client?
  2. From the example, can you tell what still needs work? What is confusing or misleading?
  3. Would this fit your next real handoff? What would stop you using it?

If interested, reply with whether you do web development/design and which option you’d try. No client names, files, credentials or personal contact details needed. Comments here are public; I’ll ask separately before quoting feedback in the project write-up.

Disclosure: this prototype is my Hacktoberfest Week 2 project. I directed the product; AI agents assisted with implementation, testing and this recruitment text. There has not yet been a real freelancer trial.

[Chrome Extension] TechReveal - Lightweight, 100% private web tech stack & architecture inspector

Hey everyone!

I've always liked seeing what frameworks and libraries websites are running under the hood, but existing extensions have gotten super bloated and full of trackers.

So I built TechReveal, a clean and lightweight alternative:

  • 100% Private: Runs entirely in your local browser sandbox, zero telemetry, no accounts.
  • Visual Architecture Map: Connects detected frontend, backend, and tools into an interactive diagram.
  • Exact Versions & Badges: Displays library versions cleanly and shows category tags when clicking any tech.
  • Security Alerts: Checks headers for missing security policies or accidental data leaks.
  • Zero Lag: Optimized with Manifest V3 so it won't slow down active tabs.

It's completely free to use on the Chrome Web Store (works on Chrome, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi):
👉 TechReveal on Chrome Web Store

I’d love to get your feedback, bug reports, or feature ideas from early testers!

[Web, Beta] I used to reach the last week before payday with no idea what I could still spend, so I built a small app for it

For a long time my month went the same way. The first days after payday were fine, but by the last week I had no idea how much I could still spend. I knew my balance, but the balance doesn't tell you how much of it is actually yours until the next salary.

Every budget app I tried wanted my bank login to answer that. I didn't want to give an app access to my bank just for that.

So I ended up building one myself, in the evenings and at weekends. It's called Olvo. You set your payday and what you have for the month, and it shows what's left to spend today. The month runs payday to payday, not 1st to 31st, and it restarts on its own if your salary lands a few days early or late.

No bank connection, no account. Your data stays on your phone, and it works offline. It's a web app, so you add it to your home screen.

What's missing: monthly pay on a fixed day only (no bi-weekly yet), English only, and backup is by export since nothing lives on a server. It's free during the beta.

Try it: olvo-app.olvo.workers.dev

What I'd love to know: would you use it for a week, and what would make you stop? And if it's not for you, what do you use instead?
