James Parson’s hairstyle!

Looks like someone painted glue on just the top of his head, then dipped him into a pile of hair from the barbershop floor. Mind you, Cruden's looked like a lego-man too.

Another 40 minute performance from the wallabies. If they can pull that together for 80 they’ll be seriously competitive. Maybe even dominant. Love the offloading work from the forwards in that second half and why the he’ll have they been persisting with a Henry and Suaalii center pairing? Daugunu was so good.
6
u/huzy12345 4h ago
Great 50 odd minutes from the ABs. Bang average last 30. Beaudy winding the clock back was great to watch. Some of the fringe players didn't grab their chance today

I can’t be the only one that’s happy with this result surely
3
u/digitaljoey 3h ago
What in the world is there to be happy about outside of not losing by a larger score? We looked atrocious for 45 mins. Average for 35, we don't have playmakers in our backline. We are stuck in the mud when our set price doesn't work, we go sideline to sideline without earning the right and get shutdown because of it.. list keeps going if you'd like

u/k0bra3eak South Africa 4h ago
After seeing the first half clawing back an almost respectable score feels like relief
4
u/strou_hanka Oui, I prefer club rugby 4h ago
Why are you happy with the results? Genuine question.
-1
u/SaltyCommunication66 Australia 3h ago
Because wallabies aren’t a very good team and 21-43 I think is pretty decent for the team we put out. Not like it was a demolishing. It’s the 3rd/4th football code in Australia so we need to take our victories where we can.

Kirifi didn't have his best game but its hard when you're down to 14 and 13 as you cant overcommit
7
u/glashgkullthethird 4h ago
Better scoreline than last week but that was genuinely diabolical, I hate this team and I wish my dad was a league fan so I didn't get emotionally invested in this tripe
12
u/perma_banned2025 Black Ferns > All Blacks 4h ago
Fucking hate watching teams do nothing to wind down the last minute or two.
You're not ahead by 2pts and desperately hanging on to the game, play on
2
u/yahdayahda 4h ago
They were two men down and the game was already won. The first four open sides are injured, as are the first two first fives and starting midfielders. Was there any need to try and play for another two minutes?

u/elniallo11 Leinster 4h ago
I would have pinged all blacks 9 for time wasting. There was a lot of standing around at the base of rucks

u/Excellent-Blueberry1 New Zealand 4h ago
If he was being slower than he usually is you'd have a point, but that's just the speed Cortez plays at
5
u/mofonz Crusaders 4h ago
We mentally headed for the Paddington Hotel for a beer at halftime there… pretty average. Don’t thinks we learnt a thing.
1
u/Excellent-Blueberry1 New Zealand 4h ago
Lakai is good, DMac can run hot and cold, Moorby is a defensive liability...okay we might have known these things

u/OkConstruction3683 4h ago
god australia are awful at rugby. All blacks have had their number for a good 25 years now. Country of 5 million vs 20 million
3
u/The_Big_Dog_90 4h ago
Would like to point out kiwis have 2 sports.. rugby and cricket mainly. Every kid wants to be an all black.
Aussie kids have 2 other footy codes to pick from to go to. Big difference.

Timoci blew his chance. kirifi came on and done nothing. Preston is niles better than Ratima
3
u/Weirddude102 4h ago
I don't really get this take. He made 10 tackles, missed 0 (at least according to the ABs match center) ran for 34 meters and beat 6 defenders. Yeah he looked a little gassed at the end of 70 minutes but I don't see how that hurts his chances of a bench role.
1
u/itachi-senpaii Highlanders 4h ago
Yea he had a solid game, didnt hurt his chances at all, just definitely not a 80 min guy
1
u/pikiaboom Hurricanes 2h ago
He had a solid 30 minutes and a middling to poor rest of his game. Need to be able to perform for longer than that even as a bench player.
2
u/Neat_Perspective7569 Blues 4h ago
He was joggingooking gassed at 50 odd mins while BB was making a break
2
u/Althusser_Was_Right Australia 4h ago
2nd half was much better for us...but damn 13 in a row is rough.
2
u/HelpfulLad1 Waikato 4h ago
Damn real time I thought it was a good tackle, slow mo, in the rules I get it’s a yellow, but if I had it my way it would be play on,
In another news Australia name a city after harry wilson, Australia’s man of the match turns up and gives 120% every game
1
u/TightPerformance6447 Sharks 4h ago
Those upright tackles lead to head contact and concussions. You can't ref on outcome. Tackle lower
1
u/Jandals-McTuff 4h ago
And when the ball carrier runs with his head down do they just wave them through?
1
10
u/TheCassius88 Brumbies 4h ago
I talk a lot of shit about refs, so it's only fair to give props when they ref well. Every ref is going to miss a few marginal calls, but Pearce reffed the breakdown well, which is IMO the most important piece by a long way.
3
u/Lflan123 New Zealand 4h ago
Play it boys, have a swing
2
u/turbocynic New Zealand 4h ago
I mean normally yeah, but with 13? The chances of actually scoring become so low from your own half that it's not even worth the chance of a last minute injury, plus a decent chance of a turnover and Aus taking even more sting out of the loss.

u/Chineselegolas Blues 4h ago
Slow, steady make use of what numbers are left to use the clock up with the safest boring time usage

u/2dorks1brush Australia 4h ago
What’s the point of this, you win either way. Either have a crack or give the ball back you dogs
1
u/AnyMinders New Zealand 4h ago
Don’t get many opportunities to practice closing out a game like that. May as well make use of it.
3
u/Wrong-Technology-891 Roigod > DuPont 4h ago
I can never understand why the refs say use it so early, and then wait like 5 seconds
1
u/flamebomber Hurricanes Hawke's Bay 4h ago
At this point, I just want them to ban caterpillars solely just so then maybe i'll stop having to hear use it over and over and over and over.

Wallabies held together much better, and ABs couldn’t out anything together in the 2nd half. Interesting
2
u/Weirddude102 4h ago
Too many injuries before and during the game. For example, Jim is supposed to be a player they bring on for the final 20 minutes and he ended up playing 70 instead.

Aussies need a mongrel. They mustve all gone NRL or something.
0
u/Radiant-Visit1692 NSW Waratahs 4h ago
McReight is the closest we have to a mongrel, but he’s a bit out of form.
BPA was missed tonight he can bring a lot of energy in the first 20mins. Our other #2 Nasser is a good rugby player and all but he’s not a mongrel.

A lot of stoppages in this game. Less focus on breaks and keep the game flowing.

League fans just turned the tv off for that one not even a penalty in league lol
3
u/asher_stark Chiefs 4h ago
I don't think league gets to complain about reffing lol, they might make decisions quicker but they get calls blatantly wrong a whole lot more.
Especially the bunker somehow .
1
u/Senpaizy11 Hurricanes 4h ago
Less about the reffing for me more about the rules that the refs follow. Only problem with league is sometimes it feels like their is an agenda pushing one team over
1
u/asher_stark Chiefs 4h ago
Meh, they have less rules so it's easier to keep track of, but their offsides rules and stripping rules seem to change week to week, and thats just off the top of my head.
