contest entry The other border

I don't think it's the whole border yet but I've been at PL-LT-RU tripoint last year and both PL-RU and LT-RU have fences with barbed wire and cameras every fifty metres or so. Not as fancy as PL-BY border but the thought is there and Russians have much harder time shipping immigrants to Kaliningrad compared to Belarus.

In Lithuania the land border with RU is protected throughout, but most of the border goes along Nemun

EU just should start waging hybrid warfare on Kaliningrad with separatist messages as a payback for ruzzian hostile acts.

No, but creating a national circle-jerk around the letter Z as a symbol of their pathetic attempt to restore their pathetic empire is.

Only one of them resulted in a war that has killed several hundred thousand people so far, but you do you.

My bad. I derped lol. Fixed.
Jakartan weather is not exactly the best for making correct, factual decisions. It is, however, the best for making absolutely insensible, self-profiteering decisions.

In fact, the presidents are Lukashenko. He keeps his country in a decent state. There is minimal corruption in his country. Unlike its neighbors...

As a Belarusian citizen - fuck off. Corruption is still there. It's an institute now. It's just divided between people. Common man cannot give a bribe to avoid speeding ticket. But cop can ask for a favor and avoid it on exchange of favor from him or his boss. It's still counting as bribe. Lugabe has boasted about many gifts(cars and etc) from businessmans. If some money needed for him - it's easily extorted from gov managed businesses or "favor" asked from "friends". Cigarettes smuggled from one "Neman" trough different government owned businesses for extra cash by railroad and trucks - that's whole new level of corruption.

Dude, I’m talking about the comparison. Compared to your neighbors, it’s like there’s no corruption in Belarus. Even though you have a dictator, you live with fewer restrictions on freedoms than Russia and Ukraine. That’s a sign of good governance. I even envy you.

u/Chapaiko90 6d ago
Seriously? Fewer restrictions on freedoms under a dictator? No freedoms - no restrictions? About good governance - country is fucking poor. Money, that could be spent on development - poured into dead facilities, that will not provide any income. Multiple times. Are you a dumb "tankie"?

Haha, just try to develop a country under sanctions pressure! Dude, you’re clearly not aware of what’s going on in Russia and Ukraine right now. And at the moment, Belarus is a pretty good country. But you’re talking as if other countries are experiencing a renaissance and prosperity right now...

I'm quite aware. I have a few friends that tried to move to Belarus after 2014 from Ukraine. All of them had same reaction - wtf is going on here? Paycheck is less than in Ukraine, prices - higher. Only one stayed - his wife was from Brest. Sanctions - they started because of one bald faggot, that trying to keep his presidency for 3 decades. Being better looking than your neighbor, that in actual war because of other neighbor - is not a big achievement.

u/Simple_Plum4091 5d ago
Well, that’s true too. But at the moment, no matter how you look at it, Lush would have won the elections in Russia and Ukraine =)

Maybe in Ruzzia there are some decent number of degenerates, but Ukraine still remember, who sold it's borders in 2022 to attack Kiev from north.
