Post image

Now, I know that the french who fought against the monarchs were mostly not peasants, and a lot of them supported the monarchy, but for the sake of the joke:

ACCURACY?! IN MY POLANDBALL?!

I mean...the French Revolution was mainly led by the bourgeoisie and educated middle classes.

Not led by what we would today call the bourgeoisie. Mostly the educated (urban) middle class. Marx called these people “le petit bourgeoisie”

The bourgeoisie, the uppercrust and nobles were benefitting from and supporting the monarchy (for the most part).

Peasants made up 90% of the country, and so by nature they were both in support of and against the monarchy. But yes it was not led by them

Every revolution is initially led by glasses wearers, but the masses always outpace them. The moment Russian peasants understood Marxism, they tore through the aristocracy like shit through a goose

Facts. Actual peasants were more likely to be purged as kulaks. 😅

In Nicholas II's case it's probably far, far more than just a bullet hole though.

You don't know what the Bolsheviks did to peasants, do you?

Officially, the soviets were made up of workers, peasants, and soldiers

They Bolsheviks wanted the industrial proletariat to rule over all other classes (although they believed that even they would need to be guided by a Vanguard of "the most educated elements" of the proletariat), that is why peasants were extremely underrepresented in the Soviets until 1936.

USSR enslaved, starved and gassed its peasantry to death
